What the heck, my Mac ended up in Indianapolis. Do they all go to Memphis??
it's been a long time coming! congratulations!! now time for them to make mine...
Why are yu sad , i been waitin since the 10th of December! I feel like cancling so much arghh###I'm feeling just as impatient!! I ordered december 29th, and started this week on a positive note thinking this week will be the week!
Now it's wednesday and my positive thoughts have slowly depleted as I constantly check my order status because it's nearly impossible to even begin concetrating on any work what so ever, considering I'm a graphic designer stuck on a 5 year old pc from college. -.-
Needless to say my frustration and impatience is fueled by the enormous PROCESSING LOLZ SHIPS JANUARY LOLOL... that just laughs in my face every time I check.
I'm feeling so sad and annoyed. Maybe one day my new iMac will come.

Just been delivered via UPS, i5 3.2, 1TB Fusion, 680MX.
Ordered 4th Dec, moved to Preparing for shipping 10th Jan. Shipped the same day. Had a few days been lost in Germany UPS depot but all well that ends well. Can't wait to fire it up.

One minor annoyance with this:
If I hadn't gone into Sherlock Holmes mode with expeditors.com and flightaware I wouldn't have heard a thing since it was shipped from Shanghai.
I'm sure this works better in countries other than the UK but to receive the first official shipping information on the day of delivery is a little inconvenient!

My BTO order off December 15th went to shipped January 15th but I wasn't getting tracking updates from the FedEx tracking page either. Then I clicked the Request Notifications button right there on the upper left of the tracing page. Fill out the form and submit, an e-mail is sent immediately. Wow,see below. Bonus I have not seen mentioned on this thread. The times are in Greenwich Mean Time. It took me a few minutes to figure that out. This update was received 7:26 am Eastern.

I'm in Columbus (about 100mi South of Atlanta), so if it doesn't get here today then I have crappy luck. If it misses the delivery rounds, has anyone picked theirs up at a FedEx store/center? Just an idea.

Just checked and they charged my card -- waiting for those magical words to appear "preparing for shipment"!! I am starting to get excited Ordered 12/27 from Apple store.

lucky you! i'm still waiting though. i recieved an email from some support representative after responding honestly (read: negatively) about my experience with the apple online store and this ordering process and they included a numeric pad keyboard and super drive so i decided to wait one more week. so if my order doesn't ship within the 4 weeks they are telling everyone i can honestly say i gave them a chance...despite the erratic fulfillment process.

Ordered on December 29 - base 27" with 1 TB fusion drive. Got an email this morning from apple saying my payment could not go through - ended up calling visa, and found out they hadn't authorized the payment because it was similar to some fraudulent charges they had seen... Got them to authorize, then called apple let them know - and my order switched to preparing for shipment a couple hours later! So a word of caution, if you ordered through visa and are still at processing you might want to call visa - if we had called ahead, we would have avoided the whole problem... Just a thought...

Thank you. Looks amazing when I unboxed it. Not fired it up yet though.
Sneaked home at lunchtime (18 mile round trip) to set it up, but despite all my protestations when I touched the machine it was very cold so succumped to the old wives' tale of letting it warm up to room temperature first before I boot it for the first time. It was hard stopping myself.
Mine's now at my back door, where it will remain for about 10 hours. I have no qualms about firing up within its normal operating temperature though.. there's nothing magical about 70 degrees Fahrenheit.
I agree. Had to get back to work though so didn't want to fire up anyway in case it needed a bit of tlc to set up with migration assistant and installing new RAM. Work for this evening...
