i loved for all mankind until it turned into desperate housewives about in the middle of the season.
the first 1-2 episodes were spot on and totally plausible, but the last couple was kinda laughable to all extents, both for the executed manoeuvres and also how mission control decisions were in fact turned into a rodeo...

Apple One is probably gong to increase viewing figures; people who wouldn't pay full whack for ATV and might not even bother with the free trials, but might still be willing to give it a go if it's not going to cost them anything extra (or maybe only a couple of £/$) under Apple One as they're "paying" for the service anyway, so they might as well use it.

This is excellent! I predicted something like this would happen. Apple's back catalog at this point is full of gems that haven't been recognized by the broad public. These new buzzy shows like Ted Lasso are great at bringing in the additional subscriptions and when people are done with those shows they can look backward at the rest of the outstanding catalog. This is tremendous news for TV+ and Apple.

Apple TV+ could have the 30 best shows and movies ever created, but that doesn’t mean much when all they have are around 30 items.

Why pay $60/yr for a service when you could just get one month once per year and watch everything they have on there? Especially after one free year.

I actually enjoyed Truth Be Told and although I'd thought it would be a predictable story plot it changed on me and was refreshing. Great acting within even by supporting actors. I honestly thought Tehran would not be so predictable.

I'll be watching that tomorrow.
I don't think Tehran was predictable at all. /shrug.

Then you should watch the original on Netflix: “Tiny creatures”, it is less cheesy and more educational.
Tiny World is much better cinematography. The shots are mind blowing. Blows Tiny Creatures out of the water. And Tiny World isn't cheesy to me. Paul Rudd is a national treasure.

If it’s so popular, then WHY isn’t there a call for a second season?? You can’t leave me hanging like that! Defending Jacob is by far my favorite as of yet.

Am I the only one that doesn't understand the hype for defending jacob? I thought the first 3 episodes were fantastic, but the rest of the series, and especially the ending, was below average. I just sat on my couch after the last episode thinking that couldn't possibly be it.
I don't understand it either. I thought it was a mediocre show that started with an interesting idea (padded to be a longer series) with a predictable plot and bad ending.

I wasn't impressed at all and it seems like most peope felt the same way.

What about "The Long Way Up"? Why isn't anybody talking about it? Great show, amazing shooting. Far better than Servant which was quite boring to me, BTW.
I like the show but it's identical to the two previous versions, that's probably why.

Interesting. I haven't watched a single one of the supposed top three shows. Yet I have loved everything I've watched - TMS, Ted Lasso, Tehran, Greyhound.
I did also watch See, but it was just okay.

I haven't watched every show, but I have watched several. The only one I quit watching was "Trying". I thought it was predictable and not particularly funny. Love Ted Lasso, Raven's Banquet, central Park, Defending Jacob. Oh and the Beastie Boys doc was great!

if Apple would let you binge-watch then a lot more people would watch their shows. I started watching See and I loved it but lost interest as I have limited time and showing an episode each week does not work for me.

Seen Ted Laso, SEE, Defending Jacob, The Morning Show, Mythic Quest and Truth be Told. Have to say it, Apple Shows have a higher quality theme to them. I really believe SEE will eventually become a big hit. Looking forward to Foundation in 2021

The last episode of See (season 1) was Excellent !

It really was. It kinda makes me feel wrong but I really like the horrible violence in it :( Maybe it's OK to like horrible violence when it's disabled people doing it? That's progressive, right?

I'm surprised it ranked so highly, I got the impression people weren't that keen on See but really loved Mythic Quest. I suppose the MacRumors forums might not be representative :p

Also, everyone who doesn't rank For All Mankind 1st is a total, total... a word has yet to be invented to describe how totally whatever-it-is they are. But they are one and a total, total one at that!*

*bonus points to anyone who recognises that quote (it's not from For All Mankind)

Ha, I'm the opposite - I thought the last 2 or 3 episodes were the best!

I can't wait for the second season of See and Servant.

All series are very good. I like that episodes are released every week, it's interesting being is suspense waiting for the next episode.

Defending Jacob was a great show but it's over. It was based on a book that concluded at the end of the season. Yes the story could continue, but it would be a dud. I don't want to ruin anything for those who haven't watched it, but part of the reason that show was so great was precisely how it ended.

It's not made by Apple. It's bought in from Israel
I don't think any of them are actually filmed in Steve Jobs Theatre and directed by Craig Federighi! :p Do you mean lots of their shows were actually commissioned by Apple, whereas this one had already been made and they just bought the international rights to it?
