I didnt know I was supposed to explain my post to you. I must be filling out a police report.
You're not filling out a police report. But if you leave out relevant details, people are going to misconstrue what you said. I'm not the only one here who thought what you did was lame. Is the concept that difficult to grasp?

you started it by taking my post and going all crazy with it. Not my problem that you're so visibly upset about this.

How can I be visibly upset when you can't see me? And no, I'm not upset at all. I'm just calling you out for your d-bag behavior.

What a bunch of lunatic people in this thread. It's a stupid over priced laptop that you brought to be in the vicinity of children.

By murphy's law you're stupid. Next time how about you play flip cup with friends and have your laptop right next to it too.

Apple isn't going to pay for it, and there is superficial damage. Live it with it. I've dropped my laptop from my desk, and rehammered all the pieces back into shape manually, it's not perfect but it works.

ITA. My white macbook dropped from the top of my car once and even with some cracks, it worked perfectly.

One can pay $576 cause he's got it like the guy who started the thread and another can just take it back and buy another one or live with the damage(like the few that are), its simple. It doesn't cost apple $576 to repair a dent. Have you ever paid attention to apple they price everything at 3-4x the initial cost. It costs then $2xx to make a 16GB iPhone 4S yet they price it at $649, don't you ever wonder, Yes the quality is excellent its why we buy the products but you guys nagging about laws and pointing out ones wrong doing is just plain stupid.

Everyone has the right to be happy, if they can achieve it for less then why not? Im sure every single one of you pointing fingers have broken rules and laws and I guarantee no one is a saint here. You all crooks lied at one point or another to get your way but yet are quick to point fingers.

So please let others live peacefully and the way they are happy, taking something back to the store isn't fraud(even with a dent), the store workers should check carefully before taking a product back if they don't then its not your problem.

Almost entirely sensible. Apart from it being overpriced. A pint of beer is overpriced.

Oh, OK. So what you are saying is that it's OK to shoplift if you don't get caught too, right? After all, if security isn't vigilant enough it's their fault. As long as you can get away with it, it's OK because YOU have a right to be happy.

I always love when people bring the cost into things. Apple makes a ton of money, so it's fine if I try to get them to pay for something that was my fault. Sure, that makes complete sense. What the heck does the cost of the product or how much money the company makes have to do with it? And no, I'm not perfect, but for me, trying to return a product that had been damaged by me or as a result of my actions...that would make me feel slimy. If you can do it and not feel the same...that just makes me glad I'm not you :D
