How's it holding up? Got a pic of the back? The corner doesn't look tight in one of the pictures, can you confirm?

Yes, the corner isn't totally covered. I think this is a design so that you can remove the case from the phone. Otherwise it would be quite tough to remove it without damaging the case!

Haven't been able to find an eBay seller that sells a Desmay Slight-like case with a fully covered bottom yet. Anyone have any better luck?

Problem with these eBay listings is that sometimes what you see on the page isn't what you get, for better or worse.

I know, but I can confirm this seller since I have the desmay and this case from this guy. I bought 5 ebay cases before I found an exact match.

All I am saying is, if Desmay manage to redeem themselves on the quality and consistency department with this new case, it's worth it to buy it from them instead of paying 5 eBay sellers and spend a bunch of time and waste a bunch of plastic to get the case you want.

Still awaiting more feedbacks and reviews on the new Desmay.

Looks as though the bottom is open and unprotected, but if it is, I'm definitely going to get this. Nice find.

Why pay the $20? This is (at least based on the pictures & comparing it to what I have) IDENTICAL (minus the volume cutouts) to the Desmay clones available on eBay for a few dollars.

Save yourself the time and money and just just get one of these: http://r.ebay.com/wnouCd

The only way I'm getting either one is if the bottom is protected. Don't think you got what I said.

It seems you posted the photos here, but didn't post a link to your review?

So it sounds like a no go. Doesn't cover chamfered edge (even tho would make it difficult to remove...) and poor plastic quality. Will continue to stick with my slightly thick Power Support Air Jacket then I guess.

Well, I didn't want to appear as a smart alec in here so I decided not to reveal it. Still, I hope my review does answer any of your queries you might have.

Desmay disappointment

I ordered 2 cases from Desmay. They sent 1. They said they would send another, but never did. They charged me for 2, won't return my emails. and I don't even care for the case. I would avoid dealing with this company.

Just thought I'd shout this out:

I just picked up a case from Target, thin dark blue jelly from Pure Gear, for $2! They have lots of them, part of their 'Christmas clearance' section..

Next time you're in Target, certainly check - I like the color and the case much, nice deal.

Desmay new Slight 5

All I can say from my personal experience I ordered 3 different "New Slight" iphone 5 cases from Desmay and all of them were exactly what I ordered, fitted well and have had no problems whatsoever with them.

Maybe I was lucky I don't know. Only one of the the three times I ordered from them was delayed, and I emailed customer service and got an immediate reply about the shipping status.

Again I love Desmay cases especially the blue slight 5 which I love the transparent blue and fits insanely perfect. Again this is just my personal experience with them.

New Slight 5 (0.35mm) - Clear (Transparent) - NOT

I just received a New Slight 5 (0.35mm) - Clear (Transparent) case, and while I'm completely happy with the construction, the color is not as advertised. It is NOT clear, and it is NOT transparent. It is actually frosted, and not very "invisible" on a black iPhone.

Anyone know where I can get a good "nude" case?

Rob

Try the Power Support Air Jacket in Clear or Clear Black(smoke). One of the best thinnest, full coverage cases out. Pricey though at $40.

Returning the case

Has anyone had any luck in returning the case for a refund? I just purchased one and it has shown a good amount of wear in the half week I have had it. I emailed them and they said to ship it back to them. Their only address is in Hong Kong so I would probably pay more in shipping it from the US than the case is worth.

Anyone have a similar experience?

Its the norm. in fact if anyone has no built issues at all you've gotten a rare gem. :)

Moulding Lines

The Flash Guard on my Power Support Air Jacket suddenly disintegrated and so I thought I would give the Desmay New Slight a go.

I like the thinness, but it certainly hasn't got the same level of finish as the Air Jacket. It's weird that you can see thin moulding lines around the sections with the cut-outs for the ports and buttons. It is almost as if these were added later...

It is a shame that there aren't more, thin, full protection options.

The one thing I didn't like about the Desmay case was the white D logo on the back. As soon as I got the case I gave it a bit of rub but it wasn't shifting.

I am currently in Sicily and my phone has been getting pretty hot due to the weather and poor signal reception. I noticed that the D logo had gone soft and slightly sticky. Just a little rub and it has gone completely!

Otherwise the case is holding up well and is still the best minimal case with full protection.
