My app contains no code that violates the iPhone developer agreement. The only location that it writes to is its own private cache directory. Sorry I can't go into further details, but I have to protect the work I've invested in this. I too would be sceptical, but I'll say again that no private APIs are used.

You don't have to use private APIs to violate Apple's developer restrictions. And you don't even have to violate Apple's developer restrictions to get your application rejected for 'duplicating functionality'. Obviously I can't 100% say that it won't be approved, since I don't know exactly how it works and/or I can't predict the future, but frankly I will be surprised if this makes it onto the App Store, given the hacky-at-best method it seems to use to initiate a sync. That said, I'm very impressed with the originality of this method, and even though I think I won't, I would love to see this appear on the App Store.
