Did anyone choose the 5c over the 5s?

I've had both the 5s and the 5c. I had the 5s in gold and the 5c in pink.

Both are great phones, obviously the 5s is a better phone. The 5c is more than capable for anything.

It's funny how the 5c gets more attention when I'm walking around than the 5s. Probably due to the fact that not many people have the 5c models.

I'm getting a 5S soon, but I really like the 5C. I think the 5C is a very pretty phone. The colour looks great on the black front, and it actually feels a lot better in the hand than the 5S. A6 is more than capable of anything A7 can do (for now) , and I had a dslr so the camera improvement on the 5S is not that important to me. However, the lack of touch ID and M7 are something I can't justify.

I got a 5C for my wife for her first iPhone. She could care less and really likes the colors... Plus I saved $100. It really is a nice phone and feels real nice!!! I'll stick with my 5 though til the next one...

For the record though, I don't understand why all the hate. People, on this site especially, should understand what this phone is for. Its a more lucrative (for apple) replacement for the 5. For what it is, for people like my wife, its great!! It also has a better battery than my 5 too... AND it doesn't need a case at all!!!!

You have no idea how big the initial production run is, you also have no idea what the reasons are for the cut in production. It's entirely possible that Apple sought to stuff the channels with product and simply don't need to produce more at this point.

Really? Of course someone bought the 5C lol kind of a lame title...Anyways my iPhone 4 is slow as molasses and I'm only on iOS 6....can't imagine if I was on 7 :O The thing is my iPhone is no longer my super all in one gadget, maybe a new 5S would change that but then again my biggest issue is storage and if I can get a 5C with 32GB's of memory for the same price of a 5S with only 16GB's its a good deal. I wish they offered a 64GB 5C as I would have jumped on that eventually as well, but it probably would have cut into 5S sales. Next iPhone update 32GB's needs to be standard, same with the iPad...16GB's is not cutting it anymore, Do they offer Mac's with less than 4GB's of RAM anymore? No because technology evolves...especially when apps start getting bigger, more retina content (whether it be video or apps or whatever), etc.

Apple will likely continue to develop the line, and profit handsomely with their new line. Holiday shopping will also be revealing. Also, you don't know what apple's expectations are for the phone anyways.

Any 5c owners actually regret their choice?

I'll freely admit that when I was going back and forth between the two, the only thing pushing me towards the 5s is how people here were suggesting that I would be perceived.

When I stopped caring about that, I realized that I liked the 5c better. I might be vain, but not stupid.

Maybe people are judging me based on it. Oh well. Maybe it's better that you guys judging me on my iPhone don't know how good I've got it.

To be honest I miss my 5C. I bought the 5C then after a month I went for the 5S because I wanted the TouchID and the more future proof phone. TouchID is awesome but other than that nothing about the 5S sets apart from any other iPhone(nothing wrong with that, they've always been great phones) while the 5C design was innovative.

I really haven't figured out if you just love to troll or what your deal is.. No one knows if anything is a flop yet. Just because production is cut does not mean that it has flopped. If you wasn't proof check out how Apple cut production of the 5 last year and the 4s the year before. Companies cut production when they have plenty of stock.

Also, when you look at the sales the iphone 5C has a better percentage of sales then the 4s had last year. It's a mid-tier phone. It's selling better than most flagship phones in the US and other countries.

Personally I don't understand the "civil war" going on with Apple fans over the 5s and 5c. It makes absolutely no sense at all. Let people choose what they want. Should it matter to you? No... All I see from your posts is how the 5c is an awful device and other BS. First of all maybe get a life and stop insulting people over there choice in phones. Second of all neither you or me know what has failed or hasn't. I'm all for respecting everyone's opinions, but my god you try to make it seem like yours is all that matters

The guy is obviously a troll. He trolls everything about the 5c. So he either has no life or he thinks he knows it all. Most evidence points to the 5c being exactly what Apple wanted. The bloggers is what makes it seem otherwise. Someone sees cut in production and OMG it's a failure, but that's hardly ever the case.

Me I HATE the 5/5S design. Can I afford the 5s? Yes. I had the 5 and returned it to keep my 4s. It's a choice. He don't realize that and must be a really sad person.

My brother did, he didn't care for the fingerprint sensor or the faster processor, or the metal case, but he wanted an iPhone and he loved the green one. He's older than I am, and yeah to him the extra $100 was a waste for stuff he didn't care about.

I went with a 5S because I was tired of plastic phones and also really wanted a white glass phone, plus the gold was really cool!

Someone doesn't understand the R&D time that is involved before the 5 was released. Let me make this easier for you to understand. The "5" is two year old Technology. The Technology doesn't begin the day that it hits the store shelves.

iPhone 5c is fast. Not the faster (it's not meant to be), but FAST according with TODAY standards ...
People are not going to run benchmarks on a smartPHONE : they are going to use it.

I originally picked the 5C over the 5S because I found a lime green one on CL for dirt cheap. Sold my 5 and used it for a week. Then AT&T had their $99 5S deal and was granted an early upgrade, so I took the plunge. I'm a fan of the gold. Such a classy looking device.
