I preordering 128 7+ Black on AT&T and it was for the 16th shipping date, but it said it couldn't contact the carrier.

Here is the full message "We can’t reach the carrier systems to process your order, but we have reserved an iPhone for you.”

Did anyone else receive this message? Will I get my phone on time? (I think I recall this happening with iPhone 6, and everything worked out ok)
 
yes... we got that for a 7 128 black....

now if we try to place an order it just says there's already a reservation on that phone

Exact same here, and no email yet! I should have screenshotted the reservation number but flaked. Hope it works out because it was for a 16th delivery iPhone 7 128GB JB, now delayed until October. I don't want to try another order and mess up the first one.
 
I got that when trying to order via Next. I'm hoping it means for release date.

I placed a backup order for a full priced phone, which is estimating September 27th-29th.

Guess we'll see what happens tomorrow.
 
I have the same situation. Does anybody know that we are stay with Friday sept 16? Because otherwise I would be sad...

Uh oh, it didn't find a reservation for me! But it definitely gave me one when I tried to order...
 
Reserved an iPhone as well and couldn't access carrier systems.. should of screenshotted the confirmation.

Same here. Not too worried.

This happened to me last year for whatever reason. Got the email around 10am and was able to take my time and put my order in. I was still able to get the launch day delivery despite the shipping times already slipping to several weeks.

I'm in the upgrade program but couldn't find a 7+ in black so I went this route for a black 128 7+ and got the same message. I didn't get an email so I went ahead and got an upgrade program reservation at 9am launch day for a silver 128 7+ At least I'll be covered getting a phone at launch either way. This has been crazy:confused:
 
Got the email to proceed, but I can't since my number has already been used to place my other order. I'm currently on hold to get some more information from Apple.

I got the same but went ahead and started another order and it went right through for a 256 Black Plus.
 
I got a confirmation but when I go to proceed with the order it comes up with "the page you're looking for can't be found" /sigh

same here. I wonder what would happen if you 'change phone?

If anybody is able to get through, please inform us. From what I was just told over the phone with Apple support, AT&T is having some issues.

The rep was unable to determine whether the phone held already has a predetermined ship date or not.

I finally got the email at 6am EDT for the matte black 128 7+ but I'm sure it won't be shipped for launch by now so I think I'm just going to stick with the silver 128 7+ that I have reserved with AUP in store for 9am launch. Anyone who completed the order get a 9/16 ship date?
 
I received my email too but I ordered my iPhone 7 Plus 128GB from AT&T Pink Gold and it will arrive on 16. If you preorder now you have the launch day too :)
