Titanium wasn’t different enough for me... always had aluminum so I went SS this time.
where exactly did you hear that, from other people that haven't seen either in person yet? From other people that just look at pictures on the website? From what I heard there is very little difference between the titanium and the aluminum brush metal.
gonna regret that lolTitanium wasn’t different enough for me... always had aluminum so I went SS this time.
i had all the blacks, aluminum, the stainless black, and ive seen the titanium black. Alumnium is as close to titanium black, as it is the stainless black. People who wanted the Ti, but passed on it because it seemed similar enough to the aluminum, are going to feel dumb.I have a feeling for those who owned the aluminum prior, and opted for the titanium this time around, probably will share your thoughts. I think it’s too similar in terms of what it ‘looks like’, even though there are key differences with the weight and protection favoring the titanium. But the stainless has always been my go to, good choice. Enjoy.

Saw the silver titanium model today with the grey strap and it looked amazing! You have to see the watch in the flesh because the photos do not do it justice.
That's Space Grey Aluminum, Space Black Titanium, and Space Black Stainless Steel, right? I think most here have been discussing Aluminum, Titanium, and Stainless Steel.
because you said it wasn't different enough for you? its a night and day difference. SS is nice, but its not new at all. This doesn't apply to you, but the masses have already been exposed to SS, and it doesn't stand out anymore. Why would I regret it? I saw the titanium in person. Don’t care for it.
The problem with the ceramic apart from cost is that it can also looks like ur wearing a gen 3
TIBang for my buck? Would be a combination of the higher quality, more durable, better looking material.
Im on an S4 Aluminum right now and it’s crap. The screen is blemished on the edges from putting on and removing TPU cases. I could’ve gotten the SS and I opted not to because I was going to case it anyway. Talk about irony because the cases caused the blemishes. Going SS or Titanium next. Still undecided.
I looked at the titanium and aluminum at the Apple store today. The Ti is darker and looks richer than aluminum. The aluminum looks much brighter and cheaper. From what I heard there is very little difference between the titanium and the aluminum brush metal.

Anyways, thats my two cents. If you want to stand out, get the titanium, if you want to blend in, get SS or aluminum. IMO.
Don't regret your choice, do the right thing and get titanium. Its the reason you are in this thread
if you think 90% of people will think titanium is aluminum, then you are misguided. It’s for me. Not for them. Why would I buy something to stand out. Good grief... so many people worried about how much they stand out. I’m the person who would buy the bigger engine and take off the badging... not buy the smaller engine and put bigger engine badging on.
90 percent of people will think the titanium is aluminum.

And honestly, this comes from a guy that believes 99% of people will look and *only* notice you have an apple watch on, and not discern what type whatsoever.
I am just saying, picking SS, because you for some reason think Ti looks like aluminum, is a shortsighted assumption, and a waste of money. Now if you just like SS, then pick SS. But if you fall in the former situation, then again, you are simply making a regrettable mistake.
I was really interested in the titanium but I checked them out at the store today and their model unit already had a ton of scratches on it. It was seriously surprising and really alarming
Sometimes those ‘demo models’ that you see in store, they’re intentionally scratched by customers. I do agree that it is kind of alarming, being the watch was just released yesterday, the same thing applies with iPhone displays, you will have those who handle those displays thousands of times a day, and someone will intentionally try to damage it, to see how durable it really is.
The titanium models are locked up in a drawer that an employee needs to unlock and show to you.
I very much doubt a customer intentionally damaged the watch in front of the employee.
Either way must not be very durable against scratches.
I would imagine you’ve got to be very close in proximity to the person to realise what someone’s AW casing is made from? My advice though in the mass consumer market is if you want to stand out, you don’t buy an AW. They are functional, and cool but not exactly flash.because you said it wasn't different enough for you? its a night and day difference. SS is nice, but its not new at all. This doesn't apply to you, but the masses have already been exposed to SS, and it doesn't stand out anymore.

It’s all about the relative value. for someone making $30k a year this purchase makes a lot less sense than to someone making $600k
They’re not locked up in the Apple stores near me. There lying on the table with SS and aluminum. The titanium models are locked up in a drawer that an employee needs to unlock and show to you.

It is all about the money. If one has the disposable income they buy what pleases them no matter what it is.Regardless of how much money a person has... it's laughable because of the nature of the product being replaced and dated so quickly and how effective aluminum is as a material as well.
