Did Best Buy stop selling ipad 2's?

Good luck to you too, I really want a 64 gb black wifi. Not sure if I am willing to get a 64gb white one yet, though that might be coming. They seem to have a lot more verizon 3g ones then wifi only.
No luck at the local best buy. They had the 32gb and 64gb verizon models in. Got the same story. They don't know when its coming. She said that when the online supply says they have it in stock usually they do have it but its already for someone who reserved it.

I heard the same from my local Apple store today. I'll be waiting in line tomorrow.

I just got back from my local Apple store and they got at least 50+ in (probably way more). The stack of tickets they hand out was easily 2-3 inches. Strangely enough, they didn't get any 64 wifi or any AT&T models.

Hopefully this is a sign that Best Buys will start getting more in. Good luck, man.

At one of the BB stores here in Chicago they had a sign saying they had Verizon 3G 16GB and 32GB iPads. That was yesterday morning. I have waited in line twice at the Apple store, the first time they didn't get any in stock (which was the first time they hadn't gotten any in in two weeks), and the second time, they didn't have any 64GB models. The black 64GB model seems to be the hardest to find, with the white one second. The others are hit or miss I suppose. I (hope) I just won a black 64GB WiFi on eBay. We'll see how that works out.

Went into the local Best Buy this morning with a friend. The sales person said they cannot order them at the present but couldn't give us a reason.
We then spoke to the store manager who was even more uncertain as to their status. At least he went into the back to call his boss at BB headquarters.
Upon returning he said they should know something in two weeks.
Since we have an Apple store just a few miles away, we drove there. It felt like the runaround as one sales person called over another and they both were conflicted.
When I asked for the store manager I was told he was not available.
When pressed harder, they said the last thing they heard was they would know in about ten days. So perhaps the story from Best Buy was correct.

The BestBuy stores in my area have not had any iPad 2 stock for the past 10 days or so. I had stopped by earlier today & they all do not have any & they told me that they have no idea when the new shipments are coming in again. 🙁

Never again do I order anything from BB, their handling of this has been a total disaster for myself.
My cousin went in 8 hours after I did and put the same make, model, color on reserve that I did.
He got his call 3 days later, I'm going on week 6 now...

Wow that's terrible. I am so frustrated with this. Something obv happening with the production or shipping. I wish apple would be straight up and say, we had a problem with the production bc of blank and we expect stores to be totally restocked by June 1st. Something like that.
I thought I read an article that it was due largely to the LG screens and light leaking.
It wouldn't be half as bad if I never had one, but I got one on launch day that had the light leaking problem, and it started out acceptable (no worse then my ASUS LCD screen in front of me) but it really became worse as time went on till where it looked like it had almost completely came unhinged or something.
Hopefully this week they start shipping more ipads. I wonder if they will let people swap out their ipads who have the screen issues?

Who Best Buy? If so, no matter where you buy it, you can always take it to an Apple store if you're having an issue.
Yeah, I am having a very hard time trying to track down a BLACK 16GB AT&T model.
My BB has not received a shipment in over 3 weeks, and they have not had a single 3G model in stock EVER. At first I thought it was because of the corporate AT&T store in the same strip mall, but they have never had stock period either. And Target and Walmart are useless.
I guess I really shouldn't complain since I do have 3 apple stores within 60 miles, with the closest store about 30 minutes away. Every time i call they won't tell me if they have stock, they just say come early in the morning. GRRRRR

That's what I had to do. Strangely enough, my only Apple store in the city didn't get a single AT&T model in as of the 6th. They were all wi-fi and Verizon models.
I went to BB today and they only had a white 16 Verizon. Seems like if any store has anything around me its Verizon models.

It's definitely scarce out here. I went to Apple Saturday afternoon and they only had 32GB & 64GB VZ models. Then I went to Target after that and nothin and then Best got nothin. I found a guy selling a brand new white 16GB WIFI model for $600 on Craigslist. I ended up just scooping it up.

Odd you say that. The only places I have ever seen an iPad 2 sitting on the shelf and available for sale was Target 3-4 occasions and once at WalMart.
More than half the time these are Verizon models.
No, I got my iPad 2 off Craigslist as well, only mine's 3G, Black with 64 gigs, "new in box" and I only paid $550. Yes, I'm serious. The seller told me he bought it from BB, but lost his job and desperately needed the money to pay his rent, and I asked him why didn't he just take the iPad back to Best Buy and get his money back instead? He never really answered me, so I still don't get it.
but it's also Verizon. Oh well.
90% of the iPads on Craigslist though are total scams, so I don't really advise going that route.
