Did nearly all iPhone 6 purchasers settle because of shipping times?

Hey all,

Noticing a trend around here... nearly everyone who bought the 6 seems to have done so because they couldn't wait for the 6+! Pretty pathetic

No, it seems nearly all who got the 6 did it because they prefer the size and think 6+ is too big for them.

I ordered my 6 because I want it. Why is this so hard to understand?

I find it so funny that prior to the 6+ being shown, so many people on Macrumors were constantly bashing large screens.

Actually I chose the iPhone 6 because I wanted the 4.7-inch and it hit perfectly in my hand. I could still actually used it one handed easily. The iPhone 6 plus was a little too big for comfort.

Had to order iPhones for other people too and they chose the 6 Plus because they wanted to.

Also my iPhone 6 comes at 10/14. Also I have been using my iPhone 4 since 2011.

So no. I didn't choose because I could get it earlier, its not even coming out on launch day. I've been waiting for 4 years, I could even wait longer if I had too.

Also, these only happens on MacRumors. People have nothing better to do.

No, I wanted the 6 from the beginning. I tried cutouts of both and the 6 plus is just awkward. My sister works at Verizon and said the majority of preorders she has done have been for the 6.

LOL, you know that there are more than a few that settled because of it. My 6 and 6+ will be picked up in store on the 19th. Then I will try them both for two weeks and return one but I can pretty much guarantee that the 6+. I have an G3 and the 5.5 screen is prefect. The 6+ is the phone of the year, no doubt. I ordered at 2am CST using the apple app, took all of ten minutes.

"Android phones suck, we hate androids. Apple is the king. They look so stupid with the large ugly screens. " What happened to these people? Was it just jealously? Now most people are bragging about their iphone 6+.

I made the last minute decision due to size, and that was the ONLY reason!
Only sacrifice I made was storage size. I wanted 64gb and ended up with 128gb. I guess worse things could happen.

Ordered the 6 because I don't like the idea of using my Mini as a phone. :D
haha. The iPhone 6 Plus is pretty big. However:

The iPad Mini is:
7.87 inches in height
5.3 inches in width

The iPhone 6 Plus is:
6.22 inches in height
3.06 inches in width

So it's not exactly an iPad Mini lol. But I hear you. My move to an iPhone 6 Plus is because these days I tend to use my phone over bluetooth in the car quite often and when at home over speaker phone or with some headsets connected. Plus I also like to use the screen for various purposes. That is why I am excited about the larger screen.

Your observation is very inaccurate.

I like using my iPhone with one hand, and the 5 is almost too large for that as is. I tried my friend's phablet, and while beautifully large, it wouldn't be feasible for my mobile lifestyle.

I cancelled my 6 Plus partly due to the shipping date, but also because I had cold feet about the size. I played with a Note and a G3. I think I could make it work, but I was trying to convince myself that the 6 Plus has more features (OIS, screen resolution, battery life) and to "deal" with the size.

If I get to see a 6 Plus and I like it, I'll sell my 6 or return it and get a 6 Plus. I don't see what's so pathetic about that.
