Might be going with either the Nike Sport or Stainless Black.
They offers me Apple Care, I declined but think I have $60 days.

Curious to the people that passed on it and their thoughts as well as the people that purchased it and their thoughts.
 
For $50 dollars and fact my Watch costs $600 for the 42mm SS one I figured I would gladly pay $50 for saving $$ should I need to replace it within 2 years. Cost of a new watch $600 without apple care should I break it. Cost of a "new" watch with apple care I believe they said would cost $65 to fix it but I could be wrong.
 
I never buy AppleCare+ and have never needed it, but it was only $60 for the watch so I bought it this time. I figured since my watch is always exposed with the potential to bang against stuff and get broken then why not?
 
After getting screwed over on my iPhone 6+ that developed the Touch disease I bought Apple Care for both my iPhone 7+ and Nike+ AW.

The AC replacement cost is a lot less than what Apple wanted me to pay for the iPhone 6+ replacement when I brought it in ($400+)
 
Bought my AW with my credit card, so I'm covered for the included 1 year warranty and Costco/Citibank covers me for years 2 and 3.

EDIT - if I had opted for AppleCare, then the Costco coverage wouldn't start until AppleCare ended.

probably mainly people who have issues come on here to complain while the majority of users who have good experiences don't feel compelled to share those with everyone.

I definitely feel like Apple customer service can be very hit or miss depending on the individual you are dealing with

That only cover defects. Apple care covers incidentals as well at a charge that's cheaper than buying a new one

Yes, that's true. Other than a smashed screen, I'd be hard pressed to damage it myself. It's waterproof, so I don't have to worry about dropping it in a pool.

I guess it could happen, but I've never broken a watch that I was wearing. I can't even think of any time I've ever banged the crystal on anything.

But I guess it could happen, and now that I've jinxed myself, I'll probably smash the screen right after the accidental damage protection ends.
 
I did not buy it for my original AW Sport and it still looks like new. No scratches on the face, the body or chipping whatsoever after one year.

I just bought a Space Black SS S2 and I did not buy it this time either. As long as I continue to live a charmed life with respect to my Watches, I will not need it. 😀

At first I was leaning towards buying it, but then I'm like the only two things that could happen is it falls on a concrete or tile floor face first or catches a smack to the face. I'll decide in a couple days.

Totally worth it. I only wish they offered a longer plan too (the Edition watch Apple Care bumps it up to 3 years by the way).

It's totally worth it because 1 year warranty on a watch isn't so sweet, and the #1 reason, Express Replacement. The Apple Stores don't carry watches for replacement (like they do iPhones) so if you go there for service, it's a several day downtime as they ship off your watch, and wait on the replacement.

If you have Apple Care, just call or chat with Apple, and get an Express Replacement to your door on the next business day or two.

Nope they didn't for me, just took the order number, serial and my name, that was it. No remote testing or anything.
 
$49 for my $699 watch? Yep. Yep, I did.

If the original sale date can be proven to be <60 days, yes. Good luck if you don't have a receipt (from new). Apple isn't cooperative with open box items from Best Buy. They will probably tell you to take a hike if you bought used. Pro-tip: if you buy open box on Best Buy.com, you can add Apple Care at the time of sale. It forces it to be added to a used/returned item, somehow.
 
It can be returned as well and it's pro rated right?
If I purchased and sold the item how do you transfer apple care to the other person or is it just on the device and not tied to you name/address. It's like you buy this watch for 700 and prices keep coming for apple care/straps/bands... Lol
