No sir no luck at all i tried but they wanted $250 to replace it. I just didn't think it was wise to pay $250 to replace it especially with series 2 being out. So it made sense to put that $250 towards series 2. The funny thing is that Apple is comparing there selfs to Rolex and other top brand even working with Hermes the french brand now. So it not just a smart watch anymore its a luxury watch as well at least thats whats its looking like. But most of the top brand gives you 2years or more when you purchase there watches. My Citizen Eco Drive i got 5year warranty with my purchase and it still going strong and i paid $750 for it. I think apple should give the minimum 2years of the top and give us a extra one year with AppleCare + that would be more reasonable to me. But if this series 2 doesn't hold up for me this time around. This will be my last AW for sure.

Word. That $250 isn't that bad though. Considering that AC+ was probably $69 I think back then and I think it was a 50 to replace, something like that. So 120... eh I don't know. I'm trying to sell my sport now, and still debating on AC.

Yeah $250 probably wasn't bad. But the GPS and the water resistance to 50Meters dual core processor is what made me decide to put the $250 towards series 2 SS. Also people are saying that the battery life is really good on the series 2. Do you have the first Gen sport model? if so do you plan to get another sport series 2 maybe? I ordered a nike + model SG with the black & volt band and Cancel my order after going to the Apple store and trying it on, upon doing so i notice that the paint was coming of around where the band slides in and out. I guess is from people trying deferent bands with it. For me thats not good because i put my watch through it paces. So i ordered another 42mm SS series 2 instead.

Here is few photos of my Trip to the Apple Store trying them on. My daughter like the black stainless steal the best. Also trying on the Nike watch band on my first GEN SS AW.

I never buy Apple Care. It's insurance, and it's not insuring me against an impossibly large expense so economically it should be cheaper to avoid it in the long run.

I buy health insurance, and car insurance (mostly because of the liability coverage) because bad luck can hit me with expenses I can't sustain.

On a consumer electronics purchase I'd expect it to cost me more than it's worth-- and if it doesn't then there's a quality issue with the device and I'm buying the wrong product.

Wait, what?! Is this really even possible?

Couldn't have said it better myself...this is the spot on for articulating why you shouldn't purchase Apple Care...

I'm extra careful with my belongings, and if I wasn't careful and damaged it then it's a price I'm willing to pay either to repair it or just live with it. If it's quality issue then why would I want to pay extra, I will be reconsidering my future purchases with the company... the money that I would've spent on Apple Care would be used towards a purchase of a better product..

Nice pics of the Watches. I haven't noticed any paint coming off my my watch... (SG Sport) or the band. Probably just ran though it paces a day. We may change our band once or twice a day, at the store they are probably changing it a twice and hour.

That's not a bad deal. You must have spend a pretty penny at BB to have the 145 reward points!

We did a complete kitchen upgrade this year and I bought all of my appliances at BB. Plus, I picked up a new Samsung 65" UHD TV for the living room. I saved my reward points to get an Apple Watch Nike, but since I could not find a SG Black/Gray open box, I opted for the SB SS at the last minute. After getting used to the extra weight, I really like the look at feel of the SB SS.

Come on yes man. It's so worth a unit that is worn everyday and can be damaged.

Agreed if you're hard on your Watch. I personally have never needed Apple Care, but I am fairly cautious on how I treat my Apple Products.

I did.
While iPhone usually rests on my pocket Watch is always on my wrist. Sometimes I smash my arm against the table, or a door, and I'm afraid I can damage the Watch.
I wish AC+ would extend the warranty to 3 years, as it does on the Mac.
