Those who selected their 6S/6S plus devices did you pick the right model in terms of space?

I have 128GB for all my devices. 6S plus, air 2, mini 4. However when checking my 6S plus even with over 4,500 photos and live photos on all the time, 167 apps, 53 songs and 27 videos I still have 67GB remaining. So part of me thinks do I need all this space? then another part of me thinks well you never know what you may add onto the device over time like more songs, apps, pictures.

Are you happy with your GB space and the model you decided on or do you think to save yourself some money you should of got a smaller model and next time will get a smaller GB device?

Yes. I have 14GB free space on my 128GB model and that's from deleting stuff.

If Apple releases a 256GB or higher capacity model, I would definitely go for it if if meant not having to constantly worry about running out of space.

Your question implies that a wrong choice could have been made. Either too much or too little. The only wrong choice is making the decision to get less than what I want.

I resent the implication that I could have more space than I need and that 'just right' is the mark I should be aiming for! I get what I want and to hell with need.

I buy the maximum that Apple offers every time. 32GB with the 3GS, 64GB with the 5, 128GB with the 6+ and 6s+. I get my wife the same. If Apple offers the 7 with 256GB that is the capacity we will be getting - unless they offer more. Whatever is the max capacity they will offer.

I don't care about needing it or not. I want it. I buy it.

I have 39gb free on my 64gb iPhone, similar on my 64gb iPad. I think I tend to make the right choice in going with the 64gb. ;)

I could probably make due with the 32GB model. But I go with the 64GB instead since 16GB is too little for me. In just looking at my iPhone, I still have 40GB left. I do like the fact that I don't have to worry about space though, so I'd probably continue sticking with the 64GB models.

I learned from Android that 16 gigs is unacceptable at any level

64 gigs has served my purposes fine. I've adopted the cloud and I like to keep a tight ship so I have a lot of space at the ready

  3. It's just right
No offense but these are pretty terrible poll choices.

Choice 1 only seems like it applies to people who bought large capacity devices. I'm sure there are people out there who bought the 16 gig who feel they bought the right size?

Choice 2 only seems like it applies to people who bought a device with excess capacity. I'm sure there are people out there who bought smaller devices and don't feel they bought the right size?

This poll was obviously created from a large-capacity-owner perspective.

The choices should've just been yes or no, as it's a simple yes/no question. To answer the question, yes, my 64 gb is the perfect size.

My son and I both went with 128GB phones (6s and 6s+) since we like to carry our entire music libraries with us. My wife, on the other hand, went with just 16GB on her 6s+ since she doesn't do anything with music or pictures. Everyone seems pretty happy with what the got.

Considering I'd currently have ~8 GB free if I'd gone with the 64 GB phone and I plan on keeping this iPhone 6 at least another year (if not longer), I'm glad I went with the 128 GB model. The only "problem" is that unless you truly overbought capacity that you didn't need, once you go to a 128 GB phone, that pretty much becomes your minimum capacity going forward unless you feel like spending days trying to get rid of your stuff to make it fit on a smaller capacity iPhone in the future.

My 16gb 5s felt a bit claustrophobic, so I went with a 64gb this time for my 6s and am happy I did.

Much less thoughts like:
  • "Do I have enough space to download this app?"
  • "I wonder how long a video I can take before my phone is full?"
  • "What should I delete to free up space for this movie?"

I have a 32gb 5s. Already running out of storage... At the time of purchase, I only had the option of either 16 or 32. So I guess there wasn't much I could do.

Fair points dude. My mistake, the questions could of been better.

At the time of purchase…meaning that you were prevented from getting 64GB period?

I've had to wait for some of my purchases, but I've always been willing to do so provided I was getting what I wanted. The disappointment of settling for less than I wanted immediately instead of waiting for what I wanted and getting it is always worse for me. A constant reminder that I settled.

Just wondering…

I went 64GB from 16GB and now finally don't have to worry about storage any more. My iPhone only uses around 50 - 60% of storage available which leaves plenty of buffer. Very happy with 64GB so far. I will probably wait for 128GB when the price drops to 64GB level, however I probably won't need the additional space for a while yet.

I got my 5S in March. Only 16 and 32 models were available
