I wonder if anyone has problems with the weight and size of 11 pro max? Do you plan to buy 11 pro instead?

I waited too long to come to this conclusion and couldn’t return my pro max. I use my x for text and calls and keep the pro max in my bag for pictures

I came from an iPhone 6s Plus to the 11 Pro Max. I immediately noticed the heavier weight as soon as I took it out of the box, however within 5 minutes I'd forgotten all about it. 3 months on and reading your post was the first time I've even thought about it since.

Size wise, it's the same physical size (more or less) as the Plus just with a much larger screen, which I love.

So none of what you ask about has been an issue for me.

I went Xs Max to Pro Max. Then while out shopping one day, I played with a Pro and I really didn't mind the size. It felt pretty good, so I returned my Pro Max for the Pro. Long story short after a week I returned the Pro and returned to the AMAZING Pro Max. I gave it a week to try and get used to, but I just can't go back to a smaller phone as my daily. Yes the Max is a big, heavy phone, but the Pro's pro's (pun intended) definitely out weigh the cons.

What phone do you currently use?

Back in 2016, I upgraded my 5s to a 128 GB 6s Plus. I didn't like the design of the 6s Plus, but I got it thinking that I would like the larger size, which I did, but only when I would have two hands on it.

It was horrible for me to use one handed, and storing places became a problem.

I didn't have places to store my phone in some of my cars, and I would have to leave it on the seat. Sometimes it would go flying off when going around turns.

I knew that I had to make a change when I start buying clothing based on whether my 6s Plus would fit in the pockets, but at the time, the only good option was the SE and it only came with a 64GB and I didn't want to drop in size.

Shortly after Apple came out with the 128GB SE, I bought it and sold my 6s Plus to a friend.

There was a slight re-learning curve when dealing with a smaller screen and slightly slowere Touch ID, but I haven't really missed the larger phone at all.

I love my SE.

About selling my 6s Plus to my friend, he also thought that he would like a larger phone, but he now complains about the size constantly. He is a really big guy too, 6'6".

Have had the larger sized handsets since the 6s Plus. Currently have the 11 Pro Max and wouldn't change it for anything smaller, but saying that, I wouldn't want to go any bigger either.....

I had the XS Max and went to the 11 Pro Max. The XS Max is 7.34 ounces, the 11 Pro Max is 7.97 ounces and I definitely noticed the difference. I decided I didn't want to carry around a phone that weighs nearly 0.5 lbs, so I dropped back to the 11 Pro and am happy with that. The 11 is a nice alternative since it only weighs a tad more than the 11 Pro. That's if you don't mind LCD vs OLED.

I think 6.1" is the sweet spot for me. If the 12 has a 6.1" fully loaded model, that's probably what I'll end up getting whenever I upgrade again.

Went from X to 11 Pro Max and 1st time Max display.

Inside of a week or two I got used to the weight.

The only discomfort I got was when I gamed in Mario kart at first. My left hand pinky hurt because of the weight in the way I hold the phone when I play where there was a good amount of pressure, where normally there isn’t in any other situation.

That took a little longer I’d say about a month before I either acclimated to as well as started holding the phone a little different when gaming.

So in practical use, you should get used to it even if it’s awkwardly heavy at first. Muscle strength will improve and eventually that becomes normal.

I want the battery of the max and size of the pro. :)
Yup, the screen on the Pro is awesome and the battery life is great too. Surprisingly the battery life of the Pro wasn't bad either I must admit. I was more than happy with that phone's battery life.

Which one did you choose? Did you use both? If so how was the battery life comparison?

I returned the Pro for the Pro Max after a week. I missed the screen size of the Max, battery life wasn't an issue at all. I the battery life on the Pro was about the same as my Xs Max was, I only charged those phones every other day usually. With the Pro Max, I'm usually able to get 3 days use out of a charge, and that's with my same usage patterns.

My 5'1 wife with hands that easily fit in mine --- she loves her 11 Pro Max. She's been using + phones since the 6+.
My wife too, ever since the plus sized phones, she's been hooked. When I came home with the Pro she just shook her head...

Yes. It’s not that heavy and I had the max last year so I was used to the size. The plus phones of which I had 3 (6,6S,7) were about as big as the 11 pro max. I like big phones so any ergonomic trade offs are not an issue for me.

how do you get 3 days with the Pro Max? I can only get a day usually or maybe a day and a half if I don’t use it much.

I love the screen on the Pro Max and barely notice the weight now. Using the Otterbox with popsocket to help with using the phone. Makes it easier to hold.

Also love having longer battery life. Used to have the iPhone X and have to charge 2x a day. The weight of the phone is a small price to pay now that I don’t need to carry portable chargers in my bag.

The iPhone 11 Pro Max is normal size to me. I wouldn’t mind even a bigger phone.

Everytime when I use my iPhone X, it feels like an iPhone Mini.

Everyone’s usage is different. I can’t compare mine to yours or anyone else’s, I can only compare to my own usage. But with that said, this is my busy time of year at work so I’m not on my phone a lot during the day. When I finally get home, I shut off my brain and spend time with my family, so I’m not on my phone much at home either. That’ll change in a few weeks, but like I say, the Pro Max definitely lasts longer than my Xs Max.

I’ve had all of the Plus variants: 6+, 6S+, 7+, and the XS Max. Using and carrying around the phones was never an issue for me and still isn’t. I used the X for 18 months and hated the size of the phone. I only bought it because It was different from the 8+ and it was the 10 year anniversary phone. The size of the plus phones never bothered me and I actually wish the XS Max was bigger than 6.5 inches.
