Even after using both the 8 plus and the Xs max back to back I couldn’t get used to the size. Opted for the 11 pro this time around and couldn’t be happier.

I went pro max to pro and love it. I hardly watch video on my phone so the smaller screen doesn’t bother me. I mainly text and social media. I have my iPad at home if I want to watch videos or movies. I got tired of carrying a brick with the pro max.

I think in general, these phones are significantly heavier due to the glass/steel construction, which if you add a case, makes it even more hefty in the pocket. That’s my biggest annoyance I have, which is why I’m downsizing to whatever iPhone is launching late in the first quarter purportedly.

But I gather the trade off having a larger phone, you receive a larger battery/display, there’s no easy way around it.

I like the weight of the pro max. It feels like quality and I know it’s there (in my pocket).
It’s the same as if having the SS version of the Apple Watch.
I rather have a bigger phone and battery capacity than having smaller phone and a power bank.
The pro max is not as heavy as people make it out to be. I use my PM naked; so only issue is the slippery back finish.

I just can't. Big phones are too much trouble, heavy and cumbersome, I prefer traveling light. My SE does everything I need a phone to do, and when I need a bigger screen I use my desktop or ipad. I actually miss the days when phones were *just* phones, and I miss having an ipod too! Smartphones these days try to do too many things at once at the cost of practicality and design.

You are probably going to get numerous responses countering your opinion but I support you. I have had an SE for 2 years and 3 months ago decided to try Android for the first time. So I now have a Samsung Galaxy S10e. Nice phone but certainly more cumbersome to have on me when out. I will juggle the two for now and then see what the new iPhone lineup offers in a few months.

I really wouldn't want to get something approaching 200 grams or more than 5.8 inches.

I went the smallest iPhone with the best camera so was 11 pro for me, had a XR and a Xs Max for awhile before that too.

I use a case with a built in pop socket which really helps. It’s definitely heavy but yeah you get used to it.

I just bought mine today. Had a great deal on trade on my bad decision 7 for $700 in bill credits for switching from T-Mobile.

It feels about the same as my 7 Plus.

I think it's a bit heavy but it's not hard for me to get used to honestly.

It felt heavier and thicker than my iPhone 7 Plus. But I got used to it pretty quickly. I prefer the heavier weight actually reminds me of the iPhone 4S I used to have many years ago.

I set up a Pro Max for a relo over xmas, mid 30's she had a 7 plus for 2.5 years. No complaints at all didn't even mention the weight. She just wanted the biggest iPhone with best camera.

The key is to use a slim, non-bulky case. TPU, clear cases, or Apple's leather cases are great. I find the Plus/Max phones are actually easier to hold with a slim case on rather than naked.

I went from a Plus phone with leather case to Pro Max with leather case. Weight and size feels identical. I can only imagine all the "Pro Max is so heavy" commentary comes partly from the big bulky cases they're using.

I wonder if anyone has problems with the weight and size of 11 pro max? Do you plan to buy 11 pro instead?

Zero problems. My tests: does it fit into the front pocket of a pair of 501s, and does it fit into my micro under-saddle bag on my bike? The answer to both is yes. I love the bigger screen and longer battery life.

I got used to it, however whenever I upgrade next I’ll likely just get the smaller version as long as there are no compromises.

I actually wish it was a bit bigger.

Only time the size has bothered me is when I’m cycling and it’s a bit awkward in my jeans.

I was going to get a 11 Pro but my carrier didn't have any in and I didn't want to wait. I have an 8+ Yes the Pro Max is heavier; sometimes I notice it but most of the time I don't. I'm really loving the battery life and the screen..oh and the camera...oh the camera. We will see how the next couple of phones go but I'll probably stay with the plus size as long as they don't go any bigger

I got the 11 Pro coming from an 8 Plus. Thought I'd give the smaller size a try because the 8 Plus was unwieldy at times and assumed the 11 Pro Max would be even worse because of the larger screen. I'm happy with my decision!

I actually was struggling a bit with the weight of my max after a few months despite having big phones only previously except for the X. Went this week and got an 11 pro and I just find the screen too tiny, albeit much more comfortable to carry, but I use my phone to read ebooks and watch TV while I’m commuting and the hsmaller screen just won’t cut it. Each has trade offs, just depends on what your personal dealbreakers are. Both are fantastic devices though.

I went from an 8Plus to Pro Max. I gladly trade off any size concerns for incredible battery life and camera. I do a lot of business emails and calls and easily can get 2 days use frequently. A lot of emails to me is 100 plus a day and many calls. Great battery and camera.
