I'm in the same boat. Netflix, Hulu, HBO NOW, Starz, Showtime and Amazon Video basically cover my fiancée and I for about 90% of what we typically watch. So I'm curious to see how Directv Now will fit in once the three month prepaid period is up.

Sports are big thing for me, but with football winding down, I won't be watching ESPN, FS1 as much. I have NHL.TV subscription for hockey and split MLB.TV with a friend during baseball season anyway.

What are you paying for HBO Now and Starz currently?

For me, HBO Now was $14.99 through Apple TV. Now, it's $5 with DTVN. So I am only really paying $25 for DTVN, in essence. You might save money by getting DTVN adding HBON and Starz, then dropping those two you're paying for by themselves. For most that's a $25 dollar savings.

I have HBO NOW and Starz linked to my iTunes account since I typically get gift cards when they're 20% off. So $14.99/month for HBO NOW and $8.99/month for Starz.

I considered adding HBO to DTVN, but I didn't know if I'd have access to the HBOGO app (which it looks like DTVN subscribers do). So I may drop HBO NOW if I decide stick with DTVN. I still don't know if I will cancel or continue service after my three month prepaid period is up.

Ordered mine day 1 (late afternoon). I have yet to be notified of any shipment on the ATV4.

This kind of worries me. I placed my order on Tuesday and have yet to receive any notification that my ATV4 shipped. I'm sure they're probably overwhelmed, so I will give them some time. But if I were you, I would reach out since you signed up day 1.

Just got off the phone with AT&T. If you are using the AT&T/DTV bundle for unlimited data, and you drop DTV for DTVnow, you will lose your bundle and be required to pick a standard data plan. That sucks.
that right there is the deal killer for me.
I will pre-order for the 105 apple tv, but will drop the service until I can get rid of my boxes and keep my unlimited bulk items. IE. uverse internet, direct tv, and unlimited across devices.

2nd thought- doesn't ATT uverse also qualify you?

Got my FedEx notification this morning. Came home and was surprised to find my appletv waiting for me at my front door.

I'm enjoying Directvnow on AppleTV and iOS, but it's so strange you can't FF or rewind when watching a previously-aired show. Has anyone figured out a workaround??

I wish it were financially feasible for me to go back to DTVN. Comca$h doesn't have an internet package with an acceptable speed at an acceptable price tag, plus DTVN, that's cheaper than just having Comca$h internet + cable.

I’m thinking of dropping this. I pay $11/month for the lower plan, after a $25 credit from AT&T.

The problem is I’m currently living with my mom and she has to have the local channels, which DTVN doesn’t offer. So we have the basic package from Spectrum.

I really don’t even watch it. I signed up originally to watch Star Wars Rebels on Disney XD. It’s over now.

Any thoughts? I’m a little worried about canceling and maybe missing out on being grandfathered with something down the road. I get access to more channels on ATV with this than Spectrum.
