People got to understand that Radio Shack is 100% a marketing organization, they are not a traditional retailer in any shape or form. Nobody who works in the stores is anything but a commissioned sales person.
They own all their stores and they have an inside sales team that goes on trips and vacations based on how much they get their own stores to buy from them... It is crazy. I have known a lot of people at radio shack headquarters over the years, and know a lot about their business.
It is not the place to go for a customer friendly experience. it is essentially an electronics store manned by used-car salesmen. Their main goal is to sell you something then and there, they don't care if you come back unless you come back when they are there. If you are not buying from them now, you are not adding to their bonus.
I hate their structure as a retail organization.. but it is what it is.
That being said, I actually bought my iPhone 4 from a Radio Shack because it was the only retail store that had any many months after release. It was not a bad experience actually, but as a general principle not a place I like to do business with...
As long as you are aware of what you are dealing with going in, though, it is easier to handle.
