Karma for them removing all their Disney and Fox movies from iTunes (and Amazon Prime store, Youtube movies, etc.) from various countries to force people into subscribing to Disney Plus and inflate their numbers. Which always gave me vaguely racist vibes... but I could be wrong.

Strangely they did put the new Avatar movie on sale on iTunes... I wonder if they'll reverse their stance.
I just did a search for a few FOX and Disney MOVIES and they are on Itunes, I guess you mean outside the U.S

I wonder what will happen with the Verizon bundle. I only have Disney because it's essentially free with Verizon service. I do pay seven dollars a month to get the ad free version of Hulu. If Verizon loses its Disney stuff, or they raise the price on the ad free, I'll probably just ignore the bundle.

Do you hear that sound? The sound of a pirate ship approaches! 🏴‍☠️

Of course. Nevermind the fact that I have zero interest in anything on Disney+ as a Hulu user, but now I’ll be forced to pay for it. Great.
Did you not read the article? "but Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ will also still be available as standalone services". You are not paying anything additional for HULU as a stand alone app.

TEACH ME YOUR WAYS
One time they emailed me a special so I signed up and used my student discount with it lol

Another price increase so soon when they just raised prices on Dec. 8, 2022? Prices when from $7.99/mo to $10.99/mo and $79.99/yr to $109.99/yr

I wonder how much they'll go up this time around, $2.00/mo?
I wouldn’t be shocked if they just went to bundle plan only and did 29.99/mo and $299/yr this is Disney you got to pay for the experience haha just like Disney World.

Just imagine seeing the Now Streaming bar -- new release, The Little Mermaid. Then it auto scrolls and you see -- New Episodes!!! The Handmaid's Tale.

That'll be... interesting. Either that, or they slaughter content discovery by burying it.

Got rid of Hulu w/Live TV as it ballooned in price.

Don’t watch sports, no need for ESPN.

I pay annually for D+ though, guess I’ll be subsidizing ESPN and Hulu now 🤬
We did the same thing. We’ve never had any use fo ESPN (or any other sports network, really), and the fact is our young one is not much of a Disney fan after all. He’s never been into the Marvel stuff, and we’ve watched all the Star Wars stuff we cared at all about. He rarely used Disney+ and then it was usually to watch some NatGeo stuff.

I had a couple of other issues with Hulu that made the decision to drop it easier.
1. I found Hulu’s live streaming quality to be pretty awful. Tons of buffering regardless of device or type of connection (even hard-wired). We have gigabit fiber.
2. Whatever they do to inject/serve ads is bonkers. Toward the end of our time with Hulu we were getting constant ads for HIV drugs at all hours of the day. Those are not explanations/conversations I want to have with my young one just yet. Two of my work colleagues also dropped Hulu for the same reason.

Oh no. This is bad news all around, and I say that as a subscriber. Gotta love how corporations can spin them doing something that nobody asked them to do or even wanted, into a reason why they have to raise prices.

Hulu's interface is better than Disney's. I hope a new app would have an even better interface than either old app. However with the trend in UI design these days, I expect it to be more user hostile. I hope to be pleasantly surprised.

It took a lot of thought and weighing pros and cons for me to renew at $110 if they increase it may end up with no thanks. Perhaps if the price increase only happens if you want Hulu also.

Surprised they are not charging extra for „Star“ yet tbh. It’s basically Hulu for international markets and already integrated into Disney+ for free.

I only use Disney+ cuz it is included in my parents internet package. Wouldn’t pay for it myself.

It’s funny, they release so many shows without any promo whatsoever so the first time I truly hear about any of them is „cancelled headlines“ 😅
It's not free. They upped the cost when Star got added here in Canada.
