It started at $8/mo and is now $13/mo. They haven't even doubled the price and yet delivered everyone tons of more content - licensed and originals. To say they "pulled this plenty of times" is a bit of a stretch.Prices will go up after a year I’m betting, this price is to get people hooked before prices go up. Netflix pulled this plenty of times
Everything is dependent on when Disney gets back the streaming rights for his own properties. As far as I know, in UK Sky owns them until 2020 included. Similar deals are in place all over the world with local broadcasters. It’s weird seeing that the U.K. isn’t getting it at the same as all those other countries
It's been described previously that the Hulu offered is the variant with plentiful commercials rather than the (nearly) ad-free version, and that ESPN+ is missing many live events that full-blown ESPN carries. More of a ESPN-minus, really. As someone not particularly interested in watching sports, I'd be much more interested in the bundle if you could trade in the ESPN+ for upgrading the Hulu to the ad-free version.im at 80% yes to this. Need more details on the Hulu and Espn+ bundle.
Today's news comes out ahead of Disney's annual D23 Expo in Anaheim, which will start this Friday, August 23. It's likely more information about Disney+ will be revealed at the event.
I have a gut feeling it’s something to do with Disney’s contract with Sky Cinema. Really hope it launches sooner rather than later!![]()
They seem to have forgotten what shelf that is on in the Disney Vault.Song of the south please so I can see what all the hoopla is about.

Pay to see Disney kill Luke Skywalker again? ... I’ll pass. All these independent streaming services cost too much when you add them together. I’ll wait until they’re packaged into a single service again.
Hulu with ads is nothing I’m interested in, my time (and the BS factor) is worth a lot more than $6/month. For many, ESPN+ is not worth paying for; it’s just a throw-in to make the bundle appear more valuable. It's been described previously that the Hulu offered is the variant with plentiful commercials rather than the (nearly) ad-free version, and that ESPN+ is missing many live events that full-blown ESPN carries. Or stupid Disney for negotiating a deal with Sky that limits them in this way?Thats frustrating it's not launching in the UK straight away. Looking forward to it as well, it's great its going to integrate with the TV app.
Stupid SKY TV ruining everything, first it was F1 now this!![]()
And Apple wants to charge $9.99 for Apple TV plus subscription possibly...yikes, Disney plus trounces Apple plus. Even if Apple TV plus is $4.99, Disney has a far larger and better library for the price
Hopefully the AppleTV app supports 4K and Atmos.
Netflix has raised prices over time
Once again. That’s what she said! This is going to be huge.

So with Disney setting the value of all that content at $6.99/mon...what does that make AppleTV+ worth?
$0.99/quarter? Less?

Netflix has raised prices twice in the last year alone. They have wasted gobs of cash on hot garbage, and have no idea how to make a profit with their business model other than raising prices and dropping licensed content.
A Netflix subscription now costs more than double what it is actually worth.
The reason for Netflix price jumps is because they are an absurdly mismanaged company that has dumped ungodly amounts of money on garbage 'original' content. Why?
The reason for all the price jumps on other services is due to them not owning all the content they offer. Disney owns all the content for this service. This means they do not have to negotiate streaming rights for every market around the world.
Apparently you don't know how to read graphs.![]()
Apparently 150 million people like hot garbage

Apple TV+ pricing has not been announced. $9.99 makes no sense at all for a service without a back catalog. I don't understand why people say it isn't worth it when we don't know what it's worth. There will probably be only 3 shows available at launch so the strategy they go with will probably be totally different than what's offered now (and likely copied afterward). And Apple wants to charge $9.99 for Apple TV plus subscription possibly...yikes, Disney plus trounces Apple plus. Nice to hear. For $6.99 / month, just the Star Wars, Pixar and the Simpson's libraries have me - easy at $6.99.
