Why is this in Political News?

At any rate… I used to dislike subscriptions, now I hate them with passion.

I bet I’m not the only one.
I don't hate subscriptions, but I don't love them either. They're an expense to manage not unlike anything else.

Streaming services are still some incredible values for me... I can get a smorgasbord of content, on demand, and ad-free, for $13 to $22 per month. If you're willing to put up with ads (I personally am not), you can get 5 to 14 streaming services at the same time for free, to $30/mo.

The $13 to $22 is just for one ss, but any of the major ones (e.g. Hulu, Paramount+, etc.) will have enough content to get me through one month to another. Still far cheaper and more convenient than going to the cinema or buying box sets of DVDs.

More open waters for everyone else!

[shrug] it's not like there was a limit for this here.

I always buy yearly so it doesn't affect me yet.

That being said, I have Spectrum and that includes Disney+ and Hulu with ads at no additional cost. I'm not supporting their greed anymore.

I wonder what the heck was Disney’s CEO thinking by implementing a price hike immediately after making an anti-consumer decision like the cancelation of Kimmel’s show. Just because Tim Cook can constantly make anti-consumer decisions, then implement price hikes immediately after, and get away with it, doesn’t mean that Disney’s CEO can do the same.

Apple fans by and large imo seem not to care about tim cooks anti consumer decisions as much as Disney fans.

There may be one or two….
