If you mean mature as in "mature-rated" shows, then I hope you're wrong. I'm sick of all the great show concepts that get ruined by language, nudity, violence, etc.. Believe it or not, there are still lots of people out there who would rather enjoy a great movie or show without all the filth that is so common in hollywood these days.
Yeah, we were watching Godless from Netflix this week and the violence especially in the first couple episodes was pretty disturbing and worse, distracting. In the latter episodes there was much more story to be told and character development etc. interesting things happening.

All the Marvel content is what makes Disney+ great for me. All the complete series of Marvel cartoons like X Men, both Avengers series and Spider-Man etc just make me happy to watch let alone all the MCU movies and upcoming stuff like Wandavision and the one I’m really waiting for, Falcon and the Winter soldier. The Mandalorian is also superb especially season 2.

I think Disney is know for its sordid past. What's less wholesome about them today? Do you realize what they used to be like?
I grew up with “The Wonderful World of Disney.” I also went to a lot of Disney made movies and it was rare to hear curse words much less a story line you couldn’t watch with the entire family and everyone enjoyed the simple but family foundation / 50s type atmosphere (so to speak).

Disney+ was one of the few slam-dunks for streaming services. There's just no way it wasn't going to do well. I would have killed to have all the Disney and Pixar movies available when my kids were little for such a low price. It's just insane.

And all I need is The Mandalorian.

Well, when you have a good price with great content, it's pretty certain success will come.

I bought a movie though Disney Plus, then canceled Disney plus, then tried to watch the Movie and couldn't. Very pissed about not being able to watch a movie I paid for, a lot for.

Ah, got it. I was reading what you wrote as a response to:
Other than Disney’s dreadful and questionable attempt to push their moral, social and ethical standards onto people, it is a good service.
No so much about the curse words. I actually haven't been too in tune to Disney today, so I didn't realize that they were producing more nuanced material for older audiences rather than being trapped in a world of 50s ideals. I know that a lot of people had very different and unfortunate family struggles back then. I think those foundations tended to be available mainly to people who were allowed it. Do you think kids get to watch Disney with more open eyes now?

Am I missing something? I have subscribed to Disney+ twice and both times I never used it. I get they have the catalogue of stuff, but Netflix has new stuff all time time. I never see anything new on Disney. Apart from Mandalorian which I’m not a Star Wars fans, can someone tell me what I’m missing?

I have Disney+ free with Verizon. I wonder how many others have it from promos without paying
You do realize barely ANYONE is actually paying for Apple TV+ yet right? And they got a free year. I don't even know if Disney offers a year free other than the verizon deal. So a BIG chunk of the numbers from Disney are people who's trial has expired already or people that never had a trial and payed money from the start. Pretty sure if they lost half their free trials they still would be way ahead of Apple while they are still giving free trials with everything.

Yeah... Kids... =)

Sadly cable was replaced with streaming services which all together cost as much as cable with premium channels. the difference is that we can watch what we want when we want. Disney+ is doing well because of the Avengers + Star Wars (Mandalorian). The Apple + content is very good, but not nearly the catalog as Netflix and Disney+. I agree with Contactos about HBO Max, but that will change when all WB Movies will stream on that platform the same day as the theatrical release, especially Wonder Woman 84. I have free HBO Max because of AT&T, free Apple + because I buy Apple products, so I think we have a lot of great competition and content. Apple will catch up either through acquisition or consistently releasing lots of good content.
How do you get Apple+ for free for buying Apple products? I buy a new MBP or/and iPad Pro every year.

Star Wars fans are gonna be busy

I have appreciated watching Clone Wars and Mandalorian on the service. Heck, I think it's my favorite service of the streaming services I have. Now that Ahsoka has been announced, I will hopefully know all about her when that series finally airs.

That's fantastic for Disney !

IMO, Apple should focus their AppleTV+ service on Live Sports !

10-bit color High-Bit-Rate 1080p60 and with the very latest in Encoding Technology !

Offer a "premium" Live Sports streaming option, & many will pay !

Is there some particular significance to either 86.8m or 13 months that I'm missing? These are impressive numbers, but reporting on them today in particular feels very arbitrary.
