How many of them are still on that free year from verizon ?
Verizon would be paying Disney instead, so Disney still gets paid.

The Apple Pippin is still Apple's worst product, that thing barely lasted a year. ATV+ is a close second though. Apple can barley give it away.
Ha! Good one. I’m going to post that on my iTunes Ping account.Puck mouse joins the fray!
Why would you need to (re)watch old shows and movies when Disney will be constantly producing and releasing new content? So how many times can you watch Star Wars, Marvel, Bambi, and Dumbo and still be a paying subscriber?

It's not, though. Not only Apple devices have Apple TV+, I for example have it on my Samsung TV.Only if they keep services like this locked into the Apple ecosystem when they don't need to be.
They are in subscriber acquisition mode, so this is all part of the plan. Hotstar is in India and getting that market is important for growth of the brand. Content WILL be monetized, don’t you worry. Disney+ is not a profit generator…yet. This isn't good though
The average monthly revenue per paid subscriber for Disney+ decreased from $5.63 to $3.99 due to the launch of Disney+ Hotstar.
and
Results at Disney+ were comparable to the prior-year quarter as an increase in subscribers was largely offset by higher programming and production, marketing and technology costs. The increases in subscribers and costs reflected the ongoing expansion of Disney+ including launches in additional markets.
Going to have to raise prices again down the road to offset and recoup those higher programming, production, marketing, and tech costs.
Will ATV+ go down in history as 's greatest blunder?

Why? Because people like quality content for a reasonable price? Get out of here with the no substance negativity.A very sad day for humanity.
This has been discussed countless times and that is not a significant driver of total subscribers. Plus, Disney still gets paid and many covert to subscribers. Clearly, subscriber Count isn’t an issue. How many of them are still on that free year from verizon ?
Well, that's interesting. Today Disney announced that Shang Chi will not be a hybrid theatrical & Disney+ release. Shang Chi will be an exclusive theatrical release:I just wish those movies weren't $35 up here in Canada.
I won't pay $35 for Black Widow, and didn't pay $35 for Mulan or Raya either. Disney+ is tempting me with Shang-Chi in September, but that's almost twice what I was paying for movies at the 4K laser IMAX theatre pre-Covid.
They are not comparable. At. All. And are being done for slightly different reasons. Disney will slowly introduce advertising, most of the streams will at some point. Some have already. So Amazon and Apple run the two services most comparable as they are basically marketing arms for companies that do something very different. As a big fan of both, come on, don’t start immediately comparing this this to TV+…
The one thing they are all getting ‘right’ is not charging more for HD or 4K — Netflix needs to get with the times.
If you have kids hundreds of times. My kids constantly rewatch Disney movies. Plus I don't have to worry too much about what they watch. Unlike Amazon Prime, Netflix and, Youtube Kids.So how many times can you watch Star Wars, Marvel, Bambi, and Dumbo and still be a paying subscriber?

A blunder that someone paid $9,687 for.
