another thing is would you rather have greasy keys or brown ones? my friend has had his white macbook for 3 years and where his palms rest have turned it brown and his trakpad is just not pure white anymore.. thats much more gross!

if only the blackbooks keys lit up id probably own one !!!!!

You could of simply bought a case and a moshi keyguard and problems solved and thread not needed.

well i know for a fact he doesnt have apple care. so thats out, but if he did would there really be a chance theyd swap out the keyboard and top to the bottm part of his whitebook because its dirty?

Not a 100% sure on this but I heard apple has replaced some casing because of brown/yellowing and of course for cracking too.

My friends ended up getting really yellowish brown went to apple with out apple care gen took it to the back 30 minutes later lower casing keyboard and monitor casing replaced free.

now that you mentioned it he did get it replaced because when the lid closed over a period of time they replaced the whole bottom part including the keyboard. they were so pretty and white! for about a month lol. ill have him chec it out! im sure he will thank you for the help

no problem just have him walk in be nice and ask about the option or the issue and a replacement.

Yeah he should be able to get a replacement regardless of warranty.

I miss my old black macbook. I got it when it first came out. I think with tax I paid $1700+, were the macbook pros more expensive back them? Looking back not sure why I went macbook over pro.

I dont use my mac till i have it on, keyboard protector as well as palmrest and trackpad protection.

I cannot stand it when my electronics look worn out..
