I’ve been doing calls left and right with no issue. Regular phone calls, FaceTime audio, Teams, WhatsApp. They all just work. It’s not silly. It’s a $1000 phone that doesn’t make….phone calls. Seems to me a fairly basic function. Of a $1000 PHONE.
this is also my second phone.
imagine needing to call 911 in an emergency. And it won’t make a call.
OP is exaggerating one or more of these claims.
It could very well be a legit post, just poorly conveyed. Here’s their other post from last week:I'm going to take a wild guess and say they won't engage with you on any troubleshooting. As posted above, the odds of what they claim being true, especially when there are no other reports of this issue on here / elsewhere online are miniscule. We see this every year: new phone comes out, newbies appear, post wild claims with no evidence, disappear. Same old same old.
Imagine the millions of iPhone 15’s in use that don’t have your problems. Yeah it’s silly when people post drama don’t buy threads then poof disappear again shortly after. 2nd phone exact same problems, your carrier or configuration is the problem. It’s not silly. The number of newbie accounts that tried to create 'heatgate' panic and were praising the new Google Pixel crap is telling.
Always look for the 'newbie' subtitle before believing anything. Ask for evidence.
i believe i see your problem: your phone must be turned on to make calls.but give this a shot: turn your phone off and try to dial 911.
The Crowded RoomI know at least 5 other people who are having this problem
On other news some guy who posted 9 times in 13 years have more problems with one phone than the millions of other users put together. He has so many problems with his phone that he even forgot the price of it.Absolutely do not spend $1000+ on the 15 pro max. It has a bug that causes making a phone call practically impossible. You have to reboot the phone and you can make maybe one call before it freezes up.
Siri also doesn’t work. It spins and thinks and then shuts down. No amount of rebooting the phone will cause it to work.
Reinstalling the os does nothing. Wiping the phone and doing a fresh install does nothing. The newest update 17.0.3 does not fix the problem.
I have a case with apple. It’s in the hands of the engineers. So far….nothing.
i Don’t know if this happens with other models of the 15 but I know at least 5 other people who are having this problem with the pro max.
DO. NOT. BUY.
It’s a $1000 paperweight.

Well, this is not a laughing matter, but at least Apple would be in good company: https://www.androidauthority.com/psa-google-pixel-911-emergency-calling-issues-3362990/but give this a shot: turn your phone off and try to dial 911. Pretend there’s a fire.
Probably still higher than the inverse of the number of iPhones sold last week.So many members here never had this problem and the OP happened to know five others having exactly the same issue? What are the chances of that?
Right, because the stock price is moved by MacRumors threads. 😂There is clearly an influx of new posters claiming all sort of fake problems. Probably a scheme to drag down the stock price.

They gave me confined, I just cancelled my orderBefore making sensationalist claims like this, you may want to learn whether this is happening to all users, or just you. It is irresponsible to advise others not to make a purchase, only based on one anecdotal incident. Like millions of other users, I've made dozens of phone calls, perhaps over 100 in the short time I've had mine, and never experienced any of the problems you describe.
It is not a paperweight! Think before you post!
