iPhone 15/Plus DO NOT BUY THE IPHONE 15 pro max - major major major problem

Can we wrap up the iPhone 16's flaws up now before next September? Since its always the same thing
It’s too late, Apple already finished design and final specs for the iPhone 16. It is confirmed that there is no 5G as the X75 modem is inferior to the X70 we already have. This will be fixed in the iPhone 17 Ultra, which also brings back stainless steel frames to avoid all of the scratching on the titanium frames. But there’s also a flaw in how they bonded the metal to the back glass, which will be resolved with the iPhone 18 redesign. So it’s best we all wait for the iPhone 19 when all of these problems will be solved, since the 18 will have 1st gen design issues of its own.

software glitches never happen to just a few people. This forum is followed by a tiny fraction of Apple owners. The lack of posting on here is not indicative of much.

but give this a shot: turn your phone off and try to dial 911. Pretend there’s a fire.

suddenly it’s not just a small glitch.

There was a fire last Saturday in my condo complex as an fyi.
Damn son, we get it: the phone doesn’t make calls. Go to the Apple Store and get the phone replaced for god’s sake instead of doomsday warning people about a rare defect. It’s so easy to get it replaced, but I guess it’s also easy to whine

Absolutely do not spend $1000+ on the 15 pro max. It has a bug that causes making a phone call practically impossible. You have to reboot the phone and you can make maybe one call before it freezes up.

Siri also doesn’t work. It spins and thinks and then shuts down. No amount of rebooting the phone will cause it to work.

Reinstalling the os does nothing. Wiping the phone and doing a fresh install does nothing. The newest update 17.0.3 does not fix the problem.

I have a case with apple. It’s in the hands of the engineers. So far….nothing.

i Don’t know if this happens with other models of the 15 but I know at least 5 other people who are having this problem with the pro max.

DO. NOT. BUY.

It’s a $1000 paperweight.
lol. So you are telling millions with that statement do not buy the iPhone 15 max. User error buddy and/or rare issue with YOUR phone. Get a new one.

LOL… I already have the blue titanium 1TB and a black titanium 1TB is on order. No problems with mine. Best iPhone and camera to date! Don’t sit there and encourage people not to buy this phone. Just encourage yourself not to get it.

Anything that is mass-produced in the millions in countries like China or India is bound to have defective devices that get missed by QA.

At the end of the day, if it's not working, return it and wait a while for the next production run or exchange it. You're the customer and have the power. Don't just whine and accept a defective device. If you're not will to take personal responsibility and act, you deserve what you get.

I typically don't upgrade my iPhone until I can pick one up at my local Apple Store, which takes a couple of months after 1st release. If it doesn't work then I don't take it home.

More likely, but also just as likely to be fake. The newbies who show up screaming about some alleged problem almost never stick around once they've gotten the attention they want.
To be fair, the account was created back in 2010.

I haven’t had any issues the OP is describing though.

So I doubt the claim the OP was just here to dis on the iPhone - unless someone hacked the account. If it is the original person then they are free to express themselves. That’s how it is with free speech.

This is so dramatic. I’ve had a Pro Max for a week or so and my partner has had hers since launch.

We’ve had none of the issues you’ve mentioned.

I’m at the point where I don’t want to spend $1000 on a phone. Any phone.
Then… don’t?
Apple has got options ranging from $400 all the way up to $1600, and even lower from third-party retailers.
Likewise on the android side, there’s a decent enough Phone at pretty much every price point, from literally under $100 to multi thousand dollar foldables.
If you don’t want to pay that much, then don’t.
The vast majority just buy whatever phone their carrier offers them.

My iPhone 15 Pro Max works fine...I make/ receive approx 150 calls per day across both SIMs. BYOD MDM and per app VPN from my company. No issues with internet or "apps not loading". In fact, it's faster on 5G than it is on my Wifi 6 and 1Gb connection.

And it never once overheated either - generally because I don't have any Meta apps installed.

Given that it's you and four colleagues, (and some random person on a forum claiming to be in the same situation) and nobody else that's complaining about it, it seems more likely to be caused by something work-specific, like a network you're all connected to or an app you're all using.

Statistically speaking, millions of people have already got these phones in their hands, and 5 colleagues all happen to have the exact same problem that practically nobody else seems to have? Very unlikely to be a problem of the handset and not of some interaction with a common factor.
