By whom?

And if a Beta7 will fix bugs and smooth out the rough spots...I'm not sure what the harm of another Beta is.

Another week or two does no harm...lives do not hang in the balance, and if the GM is closer to bug free, then a bit of a wait is not a tragedy, IMO.:)

It's not about smoothing the rough spots for you. It's about deploying a final build on 5C and 5S. They know about your bumps and bugs and have resolved most and optimized the OS. They don't need consumers using betas and giving feedback on MacRumors.

if Apple plan to release the final version of iOS7 on september 10th
they will release the GM version today

and likely that not going to happen :p

Sorry...since I am not privy to the inside information regarding the state of the new OS, as you must be...just write off my comment to ignorance.

According to previous history, Apple seeds the GM the day of the event, which this year is supposed to be september 10th, the final version is supposed to be release a week or 10 days after the event.

There won't be a GM before the event.

That's impossible because the GM will contain support for 5S features, and Apple doesn't want those to be revealed, obviously. The GM will come day of the keynote, like it always has. I'm not sure why this still seems to be an open question around here.

Actually both scenarios are plausible.

After all it isn't one single file that loads onto every device.

So we could get the GM for the existing models which developers have and are using for testing. But not the GM for the new models with those new features.

Yes, I'm with you on that one.

What people don't understand is that the beta prior the GM usually takes a month or so, and they do it that way to implement new features that they don't want the public to know about, that's part of the event, to market some new features the way Apple wants and not through some site, so yeah, there won't be a beta 7, we should all just wait to this year Apple event.

You assume the GM would be coming out in a week. This is Apple, they do what they want. Even if it is different than what they did last time, the last ten times.

the GM will be out next week after the event. that has always been the case.

Yeah, OS betas are a courtesy for developers not a necessity to consumers. If anyone doesn't realize that then they've probably never had to hear about a beta weeks before it goes live for Windows Phone or Android and not be give any time to optimize apps.

Invitations for the 10th are out, so yes, the GM will come out in a week.

Do you think I really care what you think or what anyone else here thinks or believes? I'm stating my opinions and knowledge whether you choose to believe it or not is up to you. I don't come into the forums to try to lie or make friends here. Some people though do choose to listen and have listened wisely as I have been correct many times in the past. Thanks for being my forum fanboy though!

@Am3r1ca16 : Once again you fail to understand the post you just quoted. Do you even bother reading anything here or do you just try to troll everyone because your life is miserable? If you actually read my post correctly, Store Leaders and higher are aware of these updates. Sometimes it's beta updates, sometimes it's product updates, sometimes it's pricing updates etc. I wasn't solely referring to iOS beta 7 that's why I wrote what I did. My source was from ATD which has been reliable in the past however it wasn't the case this time. Sometimes things change for the better however it seems like that will
Never happen to you because you're too busy worrying about other people instead of yourself. Enjoy!

Ha my life is miserable? Please you're just mad that everyone called you out and that you were wrong. because you're obviously seeking for attention. Seems like nobody takes you seriously in life. So stop trolling the forums. As you can see nobody takes you seriously here. Good day.

And you failed to read what I wrote since my quotes were straight from you and nowhere did you EVER state your source was ATD. Instead you said "considering were i work it was very reliable" and

"I work at Apple. I tend to know these things beforehand"

lol, nah GM on sept 10, public release on sept 20.

Nope.
I'm all in for GM on sept 10 and public release on sept 18!
They don't want to have server overload through so many iPhone activations and iOS7 at the same time. Also it would be the same as last year;)

true, forgot about early release before the new hardware, I think it worked pretty good last year so yes, I see them doing a repeat like that :)

That may be so, but it seems likely the iPhones will be released on September 20th suggesting from the past that iOS 7 should be released a few days before that.
