I remember a girl cheated off of my spelling exam in 2nd grade. Little did she know that I was probably the worst speller in the class.

Jokes on her.

I actually cheat whenever I'm stuck on a quiz, never really cheated on a test that was pretty big, like a state-wide test or the finals or anything. I also did get marked for cheating for yawning once.

Exam: Never.
Girlfriend: No.
Work: No (?)

Test: yes, when I was 8, and maybe when I was 17, atlhough I didn't need to at all. It was a test we did in a group of 4, where one of us had a graphing calculator for calculus.

me and my girl do porn, so it's not really considered cheating since we've both agreed on banging others.

It would be hard to cheat at work then.

Yeah my role around here isn't to be smooth. I leave that up to everyone else. ;)

Don't worry, I'm the opposite of smooth.

Anyone who says they've never cheated on something is lying.

Ahh, but the question is, "do you cheat?" This implies actively.

If we want to breakout the polygraph for some personal history, that's an entirely different story. ;):D

I've never cheated on any exam, my boyfriend or (school)work. Although I did tell one of my friends just about everything that was in a test, because she was away when everyone else did it, and had to do it the following day.

I never cheated on the exams during those funky school days. But I was cheated by my ex, now that we're back together again I am planning to cheat on her by having an open relationship with girls out there. At work, I don't think I'll cheat on that matter, I'm a loyal worker and I don't want to get fired. :)

This is going to sound odd but I've done this for as long as I can remember.

I ALWAYS plan to cheat.

Now let me tell you why LoL.

Long ago I thought cheating would be a good idea because quite honestly I didn't believe in myself enough to do it on my own. In the process of getting all the stuff together for "cheating" making note's smaller, inputting information into calculators etc. All of this was quite time consuming and hard work and in the process I actually LEARNED what I was I was so laboriously trying to cheat at.

So from exams to work presentations, I use those same skills to learn and memorize my information and it works for me.

So yes, I always cheat :D I just leave the cliff notes at home LoL

Cheating at work could include surfing the Web (not work related) on work time.

Anyone want to change their answer?

As a TA, I just wanted to let you know that all you people that cheat on your exams in college are scumbags. Are you seriously too stupid to learn the material?

...cue the excuses about how the teacher's accent is unintelligible, the text is worthless, and how the world is stacked against you...

I guarantee there was a student who got an A in your class... do what he/she did.

Im about to do a paper on this issue,
I personaly have cheated with my GF a couple of times with help of booze, but im solo right now for OTHERS reasons...

any comments, experiences or just YES I CHEAT in exams would be great...

Exams?

Never because if I don't know the stuff I don't know it, if I know it then I do. Simple as that. Who cares if I graduate with a 2.3 or a 3.4? Those were my high school and university graduating GPAs and in any job I applied for, I was never really asked except for once, for a government intern job which was set to end anyway after 15 weeks, and the difference would have been maybe $1.50 per hour for three months had I posted a 3.5 university gpa.

Girlfriends?

There was no such thing as "cheating" in the 70s and 80s in pre-AIDS America for many guys from their perspective. Most girls did not go with that theory. We were like characters from that 70s-Show and it was an extension of the free love movement of the 60s and 70s and it has led to a ton of divorces in later decades as boys never grew up into men. People would have relationships in junior high school and high school, and sometimes college, for two weeks, and maybe up to a few months. Monagamy, especially in those earlier decades, was thought to be a relic of the 1950s. This sometimes led to pregnancies by one guy to two girls and this led to a huge mess. We had a separate high school for quite a few girls who got pregnant by their deadbeat teenage boyfriends.

Work?

No. Unless you consider coming in five minutes late every now and then or taking a few extra minutes for lunch cheating. I remember a lady who was so insistent on not cheating at work that if on the day before Thanksgiving or Christmas and the "boss" let us off early with full pay, she would stay behind until closing time, even if it meant she was alone in the building and had to walk to her car in the dark, often requiring at least one security guard to have to stay behind with her. We all thought she was strange, that if the boss sent us home at 4:30 instead of 5:00, we would go home and she would just sit there, with no superiors to hand her work, no calls to answer, but just kind of wait and have 5:00 come around.

I did go to graduate school and it was listed among the top 20 colleges where "students never leave the library" out of 1400 accredited colleges.

This was 1995 and we were "banned" from using the internet for research as that was considered cheating. All graduate level research had to be done via library, interviews, personal work experience, but never the internet. Nearly 14 years ago the internet was more of a cesspool of porn, misinformation, and a teenage hacker playground, certainly not suited for any institution of higher learning.

Today, the internet is considered an indispensable tool for students, teachers, and educational staff employees. MySpace, Facebook, and YouTube have far surpassed porn sites, hacker sites, and sites purposely made to dispense "prank call" style misinformation and fake sites by bored, yet brilliant teenagers who like to poke holes in the adult world. Wasn't it some kid who came up with the Rick Astley viral video pranks? :)

When I'm doing a puzzle, I will occasionally glance at the answers sheet.

But in High school I cheated on a test once, but never in College. And never cheated on a boyfriend, or at work.

This is a very interesting thread

But it would have been great if it was made into a poll based on the three topics by gender, plus many could vote on it and not have to post. We would get a better big picture of how cheating is broken down by gender.

First of all cheating on exams only cheats yourself in the long run because it sets a precedent for laziness and unpreparedness. While it's extremely unlikely to get caught in school, your boss in the real work world will eventually see you as a slacker.

Cheating on a girlfriend or boyfriend and using alcohol as an excuse is a defense but not a purely convincing one that would be seen as valid.

Cheating at work has to primarily be broken down into whether you make over billing the norm in both your practice and the practice of the industry as a whole. I don't care if you are a professional or in the trades, and the law "allows" you to charge for a second full hour if the service goes less than an extra half an hour over. That's cheating and if that's industry custom, then the whole industry is cheating. If it's industry custom to cook the books to lure investors, then shame on them. On this last topic of work and business entities, it is easily the most valid reason why some occupations are hated or dreaded by the general public. Morally, it's the biggest violation of the three and entire legal legislation has been attempted to regulate such behavior.

thnaks its my first theard, I was looking for the explaining in cheating, beacause its so obvious in some colleges, and also relationships, with a % of divorce of more than 50 % its dead sick, Givin votes would not explain the behavior of these small amout of persons that would "step out of the closet" and say Im a cheater...
Thanks!!!

In highschool everyone cheated on tests, but not finals. The no tolerance policy is a joke.

I have cheated on my current girlfriend but she cheated on me so we called it even. Now we have allowed ourselves to cheat on each other every 6 months we are together, so we know why we are together. I'm not going into the details how we accomplish it (there are a few rules involved). We also agreed if we make it to 3 years we would retard the "holiday" to only once a year. I love my girlfriend!

I love my girlfriend!
And nothing say's it greater than cheating on her twice a year :D
Dude, seriously, regardless of what she did and if you love her then you probably should step up and not cheat on her. Call me old fashioned but wow.

we both agreed to do it and we both are happier than most of the couples we know.
