Same as me. Quick glance at the wrist and away I go!Sure, Apple Watch. Not taking my phone out of pocket.

Someone in Canada got a ticket for using an Apple Watch while driving.Checking your Apple watch is every bit as bad as checking your phone
As they should if you're going to ticket people for other distractions. But I think it's just unnecessary and another revenue gained for the state.Someone in Canada got a ticket for using an Apple Watch while driving.
No. It's illegal here though
Women have been checking their makeup at red lights for decades and we had to just take it. Payback time, baby!
Or calm down. what's the rush?
More relevantly, why are such individuals inconveniencing others and slowing traffic?
Again, not a big deal man. Just chill.
If I didn't relax every time I saw somebody driving slower, dumber, and just all around bad compared to me I'd have a stroke. It's just not a big deal. They have just as much right to drive however they want as you do, even if it means some grandma driving slow.
Honestly the whole "everybody should drive to not impede me" thing is quite selfish.
Funny, I remember back in 1993 when my family lived in St. John's Newfoundland (we were brought up in BC but moved around a bit in the late 80s early 90s). I was on the way to Carleton University in Ottawa to do my Master's and my sis to Ryerson in Toronto. So my folks decided to make a family holiday of it and loaded up our van with our stuff and drove to Toronto and Ottawa. As my Dad was the head of a Dockyard at the time he got to take a MOBILE PHONE with him to keep in touch with what was going on. He would sometimes stop by the side of the road to call when we were at some playce for lunch or a coffee break or whatever. He would use the motel phone with his work credit card otherwise. Was a big Motorola thing IIRC.I'm an enthusiast, love to drive. Prefer to return home without crashing due to distracted driving.
If I absolutely must use the phone I pull over and park...simple![]()
Unfortunately, the fact that it is illegal (as it should be) does not always prevent complete cretins examining their phones while stalled, or stopped, at traffic lights.
What's selfish is the imposition of cellphone checking users at lights slowing others down. That's orthogonal to how people drive regularly as they're not breaking the Highway Code.
"How dare you inconvenience me my time is much more valuable than yours"
Is all you're saying. For instance, me taking a look at a message somebody sends me is vastly more important than anything you do.
Which might stand up if the felon only impacted one driver behind them but they don't, do they? It's the ripple effect. It's not a case of me V them which is where you've tried to target this discussion, it's applying the proper rules of the road, so playing with your cell phone when you should be driving with proper due care and attention means the felon is in the wrong.
