When I went from my iPhone 4 to my 5, it took a few days to adjust to the new phone's size. I really want the large screen and the battery life of the 6 Plus. So my question is to 6 Plus users who were in the same boat as me (apprehensive about the size) - Do you eventually just get used to it to the point where you don't even notice it anymore?

Yes, pretty much...

Only took about a day to get used to it. Now I hate having to do anything to my daughter's 5s, or even my other daughter's 6...they both seem soooo small!!! I really don't think I could ever go back to something smaller than the 6+!

I always like the screen size of my samsung note 4..but i dislike android OS..i always like iOS but dislike the screen size of my iphone 5s..and now i can have both that i like..big screen size and iOS on my 6+ !!!

I honestly can't even imagine going back to anything smaller. The 6 Plus is just that good. It did take a little adjustment with hand positioning and all of that. But worth it completely for that big beautiful screen.

6 Plus is cumbersome at first but it serves as my micro-tablet that I can make calls with. I take precaution and arrived at handling that works for me.

A tad cumbersome, but the tradeoff is better overall satisfaction in usage IMO. I doubt I could go back to anything smaller than 5" after this experience.:)

I cant say I got use to it while in my hand, it did get better but always felt too wide. I def couldnt get use to the portability of the phone. So after 2 months i switched to the 6 and have zero regrets. The main concern I had was the difference in battery life and im glad that my 6 gets me thru the day...thats really all I need being that I plug my phone to charge every night

I initially got the + and like you I couldn't get used to the portability. I wear cargo pants for work and the + wouldn't fit in the cargo pockets well. On the weekends I wear jeans and def couldn't get used to the +. I tried belt holsters and that didn't work cause I don't like holsters to begin with. We have a 4 line family plan and there were 3 lines eligible for upgrades. Our younger son wanted a + so I got the 6 on his line and we swapped iPhones. Don't regret or miss the +.

I had the 6 for two months. Got curious about the 6+. Went and bought one. Can't go back to the 6 now, it took no time at all to adjust. Had to have a bigger screen.

i wanted 6+ since the launch day so i played around with it at the store , and felt 6 did not cut it for me coming from a 4.5inch phone.

6+ doubles as my kindle on the go & a lot more, hence its the perfect size

The bigger size takes a max of a month to get used to.
It's the other issues I'm still struggling with two months into ownership. The frequent frozen screen within apps, an unresponsive touchscreen which causes me to have to press the screen two or three times, crashing, tab & app reloading and landscape/portrait rotation problems.
Was it so wrong of me to expect not just a larger screen, but performance enhancements over my old iPhone 5 too? In many respects this 6+ performs worse than my i5 and that's shocking.

I've done a couple of clean installs, I've been to Apple and my phone has checked out ok. The Genius I saw today said that his 6+ has exactly the same issues I described to him, and that "it will be fixed with a software update". Well heck, when were these things released? Over four months ago? Why must I put up with a sub-standard experience for that long, and still counting?

Mine works great. Hope yours gets fixed.

Had it checked out this morning and the hardware is fine according to Apple. The Genius managed to recreate some screen freezing on my phone and agreed with my complaints. He also said that it was an iOS8 problem and that his 6+ did exactly the same thing from time to time.
So who is right? People here tell me to get mine fixed and yet Apple say that it doesn't need fixing. The Genius told me to wait for the next iOS update!

It took maybe 2-3 days for me to get used to the size of the 6 (from a 4S).......now after nearly a month, I don't even notice it (though playing around with the 4S is a bit jarring......)

Seeing lots more of these in my travels and the owners have been women so ....

Yes, I know they could keep it in their purse but they still need to handle it to use it. :)

I have not got mine yet but mine is on its way I'm coming from android. Note 3... shod be the same size I would think

I've had the same issues, but because the screen always ends up working fine after a few taps I think it must be a software issue. Fingers crossed iOS 9 clears most of this up with the rumoured stability enhancements.

I have many of the same issues, and am also amazed and disappointed that some of the really obvious bugs (screen orientation?!) haven't been fixed yet. None of them are showstoppers, but iOS 8 is just lacking polish. Shame.

Yes you get used to it pretty fast actually, picked up my old 4S the other day and it felt like a little toy and it was the same way with my 5.
Once you adjust there is no looking back! :D

You NEVER get used to the size of the 6+!

It amazes me each and every day!;)

I see what you did there

Im coming from a 5, Had my iphone 6+ since Sept launch day, I can tell you right now it feels small to me lol--give me a 6inch screen next Apple please! I freaking love my 6+

I was debating exactly the same thing a few days ago! In the end I went for the 6+ and I have to say I am so glad I did. The size is not an issue even on the first day, images, video and the Internet are such a better experience!

I don't know what lagging people are talking about as mine runs perfect.

I purchased the 6 at launch and upgraded to the 6+ in Nov when I had the opportunity. It took me about a week or so to get comfortable with the increased size of the 6+. Now I look back at previous iPhone models and wonder how I was able to use them :p

I was due my upgrade today so went off to Vodafone (I'm in UK) to pick up my 6.

Had absolutely no desire or intention to buy the 6 plus.

Soon as I got to Vodafone the 2 were next to each other (display models) and I was immediately drawn to the 6 plus.

I messed about with it for a bit an then moved onto the 6 and it just felt... small.

I was in such a dilemma. I had already decided exactly what I wanted and now here I was with the 6 plus as a possibility!

Let me go straight in and say, I'm a guy, but I have really small hands.
So I've always kinda used smaller phones and bigger phablet types have never really appealed to me.

The guy in the store approached and asked if I needed help so I explained I was upgrading and was dead set on a white / silver 6 but liked the look of the Plus.

He said he'd get me a Plus out of the back to look at properly and he had his own 6 for me to hold too.
As soon as i held the Plus, I knew I liked it more. It didn't feel too big but the 6 felt a little cramped and a bit small to me screen wise.

Long story short, ended up returning home with a white / silver 6 plus!
Never expected it at all. I need to go out again for a few hours now so have not had chance to do anything but download WhatsApp. Only thing I can't do is reach the top of the screen, but that's where the double tap of the home button comes in. I just can't do that yet as i still have the plastic on the screen!

Will play about more with that later.
Hopefully it is really fluid and not intermittent in use otherwise that could get annoying. The one in the shop was slightly hit and miss.

But yeah, very unexpected but whenever I went back to the 6, I felt a bit underwhelmed!
I will post my thoughts later on though!
