For me it's all about Flash. I hate being on the phone, trying to browse something, or do something (like book a hotel reservation on many sites, etc.), and having to stop and say "oh well, I'll have to do this at home later." That should never happen. It has nothing to do with screen size.

Totally agree with you. I actually use mostly my iPhone to surf the web because it's always on me, I'm just too lazy if I'm on the couch to get up and get my laptop, so I use the iPhone web browser about 85% of time. The only time I actively seek out my laptop has nothing to do with screen size, it's all about flash, and if the iPhone had flash then I would probably use it over my laptop 95% of the time, and only use my laptop when I'm doing other things on it (like work and syncing my iPhone).

I actually preferred web browsing on my 3.1" Pre. The way apple forces the bottom bar to be there all the time is really damn annoying.

*Yes I know the pictures make the iPhone screen look huge in comparison but its just the file size, not actual screen size comparison.

all that said, I still browse on my iPhone all the time and really dont mind it too much, although most of the sites I use on it are mobile sites.
