@The Cockney Rebel please hold on and search for help!
Hey there, listen up OP! This Apple Watch Ultra doctor’s advice is super important, and it means you need to take action right away! Even with all the advice y’all given to our blessed OP Tom @The Cockney Rebel !

Seriously, get a check-up with a gp 🧑‍⚕️ or head to the hospital! Call the mental health line at 111, my friend. Don’t take any chances and let this get worse!

Hey, we all have terrible days sometimes.. and then there’s those periods where life feels a million times heavier and more tiring than before, such as what you may be feeling right now.

But please understand that, these days are only feeling heavier because at some point in your life, other days were feeling much lighter. And those lighter days will come back to you again, you just need to keep going.

Please do seek support from anyone you feel comfortable with though - we’re fortunately in times now where humans understand the importance and power of mental health and how difficult it can be. And even if we’re just internet strangers here, we care too.

But to circle back to your question, i’ll often take a break from my Apple Watch during days off work! It feels nice because when I look down to not see my watch on my wrist it almost feels like the equivalent of wearing a holiday shirt on your first day off😹

I’ve started doing it since my battery health dropped to the 70’s - partly to extend the remaining life a bit longer, but also just because I’ve enjoyed the days without any wrist vibrations.

Forget wearing or not wearing an Apple watch. Honestly, that is not important as the true content of your initial post.

Clearly it is time for some serious in-person conversations. Some have already provided a few links. I do suggest you try those, or even verbally chatting with friends or family, in-person.

Good luck with everything...

I get in these moments occasionally where I just don’t feel or care about anything. Usually my devices are the last thing on my mind as I have much more important things to worry about or concern myself with. I've definitely had some breaking points over the last few months where I needed to step back and re-assess some things. My Apple Watch (along with some other devices, websites, objects, etc) were on that list of things to just put in storage for now and live a little simpler for a few days or weeks.

It's very easy for me to feel overwhelmed with it - being constantly connected, constantly tracked (health-wise, Find My), always expected to be available for a phone call or message. I can’t really say what pulls me back out of these moments. A couple things I usually do to get my mind off of the negative feelings - journaling, reading self-improvement books, taking a walk or getting fresh air helps.

I'm definitely not a shrink, just talking from my experiences. I'd recommend putting your Apple Watch away for a few days, along with anything else you might be feeling like this from. You may come back realizing you don’t really need or want to wear it all the time.

I hope this helps, and I hope you feel better soon.

I totally missed the reason behind this started. I don’t know how I missed it. It just seems so many years ago. I’m sorry that I didn’t add when I shut off I hope all is well with the parties involved. Love and peace to y’all

I do get really tired of wearing mine day and night. I do want the health metrics though. I hope Apple comes out with a ring-based device at some point.

Yeah, bro. 👊 This thread initially seemed like the OP didn’t want to wear his Apple Watch ⌚️ for a while due to his emotions. However, he posted another reply suggesting he wouldn’t want to be ‘here anymore,’ which has escalated the situation. The OP has been hospitalised and sectioned for his mental health issues quite frequently lately.

Cockney Rebel. There is a ton of help out here. All you got to do is reach out and grab it. You are not alone!
Good morning, Apple Watch enthusiasts! Thanks a bunch for all the support and advice you’ve shared with our OP. He hasn’t returned to the forums yet to read all your thoughts and prayers for his well-being, but things are getting serious. I rarely take a break from my Apple Watch, except for charging, updates, band swaps, and showers. But he can limit his wear time. I only take a break for almost a day when I have to put it away for in-person exams in school.

Despite all these messages, he’ll definitely read them. I still encourage you all to keep leaving kind words and advice for this guy and his Apple Watch Series 10. He’s been an awesome guy who collects every Apple Watch Sport loop, sport band, and solo loop every time a new release comes out. If you can, you can also share a picture of your Apple Watch with a bright and cheerful band and watch face.

Oh, and guess what? He should try out the new Journal app that came out with iOS 17 on his iPhone. I find it really helpful to document my feelings and mental state. I log on my iPhone and Apple Watch, and I also do meditation on Fitness+. I suggested he give Fitness+ a try, but he doesn’t have it on his iPad and iPhone.

hope all goes well for him!

No. I wear it for a lot of reasons but one is monitoring my health.
So you only take it off to charge it?
hope all goes well for him!
TY, Apple Watch Hermes wearer. I am glad you also showed off your watch here too. Y’all others can show off your watch to support our OP, we don’t want him to go
During hot summer days. I can't stand wearing a watch then.

I wear my AW 365 days a year. If y’all say it is uncomfortable and too thick, then what model Apple Watch y’all are talking about? Ultras are the heaviest 🧱 and yep they are hard to wear with tight long sleeves or sleep track sometimes.

The depression is at its lowest point.

I was in bed all day yesterday.

Never wore my Apple Watch.

I turned it off earlier, and put it in the drawer.

I’m just not interested in anything, at the moment.

How about you?
Switched off my AW a few years ago and went to traditional watches. One of my best decisions ever.

@JapanApple, as a Snoopy fan and Apple Watch wearer, I’d love to know more about your interest in Snoopy and Peanuts characters and films. Your enthusiasm for these characters and movies can bring a positive vibe to the OP. I understand you like the watch face and visiting the Snoopy Museum, but that can help The Cockneu Rebel to be curious to explore other interests that align with his passion for Apple and band collecting. Your insights would be greatly appreciated.

I don't want to wear any watch 24/7, myself.

I’ve pencilled in a plan to jump on Tuesday.

Thank you for all of your lovely comments.

Truly means a lot to me.

It has been nice engaging with you all. But, I can’t bear to wake up another day x.
My friend, you seriously wrote a note like that?

This is a serious matter! You should immediately call 111, 999 or go to the emergency room. The GP ain’t going to cut it as this is more serious! This situation is escalating rapidly and poses a significant risk. It’s absolutely dangerous to continue this course of action next week!

I love you, mate.

You’re such a caring and loving person.

I shouldn’t be putting this on here, but I consider you all as friends, and bottling this all up is making me more unwell.

I can’t reach out to the “professionals” because I am classed as high risk, and police & ambulance would be at my door in no time.

Don’t worry about me.

Please x.

That’s why you end up getting sectioned in the hospital a few times. But it’s not a good thing, my friend! Have you called 999 or 111 yet? You absolutely must especially if you live by yourself! The NHS website specifically advises calling these lines if you’re in imminent danger, like this!

Now, let’s talk about your collection of 60 straps from every Apple release since you got your stainless steel Apple Watch Series 8. I’m a mix of third-party and genuine Apple straps, so I can’t claim to be the latest and greatest Apple Watch band collector in this thread Show off your Apple Watch, someone will have to take over getting these latest bands.

And what about your blue iMac, Apple Watch Series 8 and 10, iPad Pro m4 11-inch, and iPhone 16 Pro Max? Where will you go when you leave them behind?

In addition to all this advice, I want to remind you to set up a legacy contact in your Apple Account. Choose a loved one or a friend of your choice to be your contact. You can find this in the Setup checklist in the Tips app on your iPhone, or you can follow this link just in case you need it: https://support.apple.com/en-us/102631#:~:text=On your iPhone, or iPad,Tap Add Legacy Contact.

I'm worried now. This is something tea and a biscuit aren't going to conquer.

I had months where I would go to sleep hoping that I would die and waking up, wondering why I hadn't. However, the only time I was in the psych ward was when I went there to fix the printer. Staff went to the cafeteria and left me alone with the patients for 20 minutes. 😁 I never thought working for a hospital would be that way.

Find a caring professional, look your best, explain your situation. Then, uncork whatever you can't tell anyone and tell someone who will help you find answers, wrong or right. You deserve to be your best.
