Someone here asked me for the wallpaper I used...here is it. Found it in Google images...

Dock
Entirely default. I might replace the Videos app with the Social folder, though.

First page
Default (Apple) apps. Additional Apple apps go in the bottom row in alphabetical order.

Second page
Third-party apps, grouped if necessary, in alphabetical order.

Launchpad on my Mac and the App Drawer on my (Android) phone are organized in the exact same way. Just very easy so I won't keep rearranging the damn thing.

Here is the current setup I am rocking. I like having all of my apps right on one page so that they are always at my fingertips. I just changed it to this layout. I almost have it perfected.

Nice app arrangement! I really like the folders on the side. Also, I never considered using the emoji characters in the folder name. Thanks for the inspiration!

My way of arranging app icons has gone through many iterations, I've tried filling the first page with folders but that didn't work out too well over time. I've settled down with this layout for a year now

Apps in the first page are actually grouped by their placement.

Messages, Fantastical, Whatsapp and Soulver are the primary feature of a phone after the obvious "Phone" app on the dock.

Photos, Maps, Music and Camera are my Media apps

3rd row for note taking.

4th row are my reading materials, it actually extends down to the 5th row, but the apps on 4th row are more tailored to my liking whereas The Verge and BBC News are more generic.

Lastly I have my dictionary apps

I try to place apps that are launched more regularly in the middle as they're the most easily reached when you use the phone one handed. Similarly, the 3rd row is the most easily reached so I have my apps that need quickest access there (Evernote and MoneyBook)

The Dock remains largely unchanged from the stock arrangement but I've created a folder here for tool apps.

I put frequently used apps on my first page and folders on the second, with a few exceptions.

Everything's on the first page. My stuff is divided into columns.

To the left are the "content attainment" rows. They each have something to do with the attainment of content, obviously.

Column two involves "content consumption".

Column three includes everything not in the other columns.

Column four typically involves some kind of work.

Column five contains other media stuff plus the calendar (I had nowhere else to put it where it didn't bother me).

The dock contains my other most-used apps.

This layout is terrible in portrait mode, of course, but I never use portrait mode.

Edit: About the theme. The background's a modified version of the background from Procreate. I won't distribute that because I don't own it. But, if you do have Procreate and you want the theme I used, just ask me and I'll tell you how to replicate it.

Calendar & newsstand, followed by folders for Photography, Apple Apps, Weather, games, Productivity (Office apps), GPS, Utilities, Family Tree, Video, Books and Shopping. The dock has Phone icon, and folders for Internet, Music and Messaging

1 page has everything. iPad is the same sort of layout

I've definitely got a methodology for arranging apps: alcohol.

----------

Entirely default. I might replace the Videos app with the Social folder, though.

First page
Default (Apple) apps. Additional Apple apps go in the bottom row in alphabetical order.

ooh, where can I get that background?

Do you have a unique layout or organization system for arranging apps?

My system is not installing too many apps, only these ones I really need and am actually using. And than frequency of using.

When I want maximum exposure for my wallpaper I use the following folders configuration for the springboard:

-Work: Anything related to planning and finances. this would include the clock, calendar, reminders, calculator, apps for paying bills (bank etc)

- Play: This is for "fun" things like games, music apps like Djay, garageband, youtube etc.

- Main: this folder contains the apps I use the most frequently at any given time. Camera, photos, Flipboard, appstore, settings, mail.

- Apps: I put whatever else doesnt fit into work/play or main in here. This would be itunes, stocks, camera+, starbucks app (I use the playbook in main for this one).

So Work, Play, Newsstand, Apps takes up the first row of the screen. Main is a folder in the middle of my dock. to the left is the phone icon and to the right is messages. Very clean setup.

I also tend to use emoji icons in the title of the folder to spot it faster.

What's the benefits of using mailbox app?

Lets you easily categorise mail into different folders, or have them remind you at a later date. The swipe functions are actually pretty cool, and I still get a kick out of deleting or archiving useless mail. :D

If you are the kind who is content to just dump everything in your mail inbox and rely on search to retrieve older mail, then this app isn't of much use.

I am like that, but thought I would give mailbox a try. Pretty cool so far, and I guess it helps that I use only gmail accounts, so that is no real loss. :)

My method is to just throw apps in random folders and deal with it. Th older names mean nothing to me, it's mostly the location of the apps and ease of getting to them.

I kinda just organise everything from most used to least used, but not really. My first homescreen tends to just consist of Apple's built-in apps.

Been using this same layout now for several years, sans some evolutionary changes.

This methodology with a slight twist. My second page houses apps I use less frequently than those on the first page, organized by type (without using folders), and the third page houses apps I rarely use and are all in folders.

+1 to this.

I also have a 4th page for apps that are in limbo(new apps, things I've found myself not using) that I periodically clean out.
