A lot of maturity can happen between the ages of 14 to 18, but that's not saying a person who is the age of 17 is inherently less mature than someone who is of age.
Also, creepy kiddy fiddlers can see that "hey! this one 14 year old girl thinks it's OK to do that in pictures, maybe this one will think it's ok IRL! I'll go talk to her!"

the problem is, that i find most perticularly unfair is, our instinct is to crave sexual relations at this age, for reproduction. and recently, there have been baracades put on that, throwing off nature. it is nobody's fault, people just thought that we had enough time in our lives to wait till we were "of age" to go with our instinct.
god this makes me uncomfortable...
