I have the iPhone 4 and haven't felt the need to upgrade to the 4S. I upgraded from a 3G to the 4, and the difference was huge. The upgrade effect is diminished from the 4 to 4S, that's why I'm waiting for the next iPhone so that I will get a bigger boost from my upgrade.

No, I gave my upgrade to my wife because I thought Siri would be useful for her. It hasn't been. I also thought that yearly upgrades would apply for the primary line for AT&T but I guess that is no longer the case. I don't see much difference in performance except for the camera. I will use her upgrade to get the next version though.

I went for the 4S for the speed and improved camera..Siri is of little day to day use here in the UK yet, but do use it for sending texts, emails etc.

Same here. As it stands the 4S does everything I need it for. I'm glad I finally went ahead and upgraded. I ditched my old point and shoot because the camera in the 4S is better. I'm pretty happy with it.

Nope not worth it, the speed differences just aren't worth the price, it's barely faster in real world situations. The 4 is still blazing fast I haven't felt the need for more power I'll wait for the iPhone 5 for a proper upgrade.

Thats what I am going to do. Its better to wait then go for the iphone 4s.

As for the people who voted yes for the poll, why do you think its better to go for the 4s from the 4?

got verizon iPhone 4 on Feb (2011) with 2 year contract.

I dont see why people would buy a new phone every year, seems like a waste.

So next upgrade would be in Feb 2013 but since I've been at Verizon for a long time, they let me to early upgrades. So I would prefer a fall release for the next iPhone.

I don't have 4S because I see no reason, ditto for rumors for iPhone 5 even.

CPU? No, I don't find wait time on app/web loading to bother me.

GPU? No, Inifinity Blade, Dark Meadow  already tons of fun.

BIGGER? No, I can easily use it one handed, thumb across screen, don't negatively impact this.

DISPLAY? No, current IPS/retina is brilliant.

BATT LIFE? No, I go all day as is with batt to spare, and even get a second day on the rare occasion I forget to charge on nightstand.

LTE? No, I get 3-5.9 mbps reliably (haven't broken 6, yet) on ATT 3G now, that's faster than standard DSL, on my freaking mobile phone. I have no lack of speed, not missing out on anything.

STORAGE? No, I have the 16GB variant with 8GB free.

Siri is a mild curiosity, to see if it transforms how I use my mobile, but it's not bothering me.

I'm not even excited about the iPhone 5. I could very easily holding onto iPhone 4 through 2013 or 2014 whenever Apple stops supporting it with updates.

This sounds exactly like my situation except for the last statement. I'm not in excitement mode right now about the new iPhone, but I know I will be when we find out more about it.

That being said, the wife and I upgraded from OG Droids about a month and a half before the 4S dropped. We tried to wait as long as possible, but certain factors were making it very hard (apps force closing, horrible battery life, phones randomly shutting off and rebooting, etc). We finally gave in and used some of the extra grant money I had from school. Before the iPhone, I was constantly looking at other phones (mostly the newer android models that would drop about every week), but ever since I've had the iPhone 4 I really don't feel the need to shop other phones. I used to root and mod my android's software like crazy, and that need has gone too.

I recently had the chance to get an iphone 4s but decided to wait. I have an iphone 4 and I felt as though it was not worth the extra $100. What do you guys think?

I am well aware that the iphone 4s comes with more than just Siri. It comes with a better camera, graphics, storage and Dual Core Processor. In the long run do you really think its worth getting an upgrade from the iphone 4?
Nope. Especially if you're renewing your contract for another 2 years. It would be.... stupid... with a complete new model coming this year.

I had the 4 and upgraded to the 4s and thought it was worth it. I like the faster speed and Siri has been useful when I'm driving. The only thing I don't like is the battery since it drains quicker.

I thought about stealing my mother's upgrade and getting the 4s with it, but I'm content with my iPhone 4. The only reason for an upgrade is the camera, and I honestly can wait for that.

Meh every other is good enough for me. I had the 3g skipped the 3GS got the 4 and skipping the 4S will more than likely get the 5.

I'd always questioned purchase of the 4S. For people who already had iPhones, why would you buy it?

At the most basic level, you've got the form factor already, same sound, same same screen, same speed, same camera.. What are you paying for??

If I uploaded a YouTube video taken from an iPhone 4 vs 4S- you can't even tell the difference.

I had a 3Gs, it was lagging, I was due for a upgrade (5 months due), and for some reason I couldn't update my phone no more over my home network. Couldn't be happier going from my 3Gs to my 4s.

I currently use an iPhone 4.

I didn't buy the 4s because ;

Im not a regular user of the camera so the improvement was not important.

The new faster processing chip in my opinion made the iPhone 4s slightly faster than my 4 but not enough to provide a WoW factor.

I already have Siri on my iPhone 4.

The design remains the same between both phones apart from the antenna layout and slight mute button move. I do not have signal loss due to the death grip as I use a bumper although when I do go naked I lose only 1 Barr if gripped on the antenna on the well known place.

Just my 2 cents.
