Here
I am right now with a Chemistry project . Had 3 months to do it and just starting today. And of course it is due tomorrow.

So, do you procrastinate?

I did it just now, it took me a minute to respond to this thread. :(

edit: actually do it with everything, I'm really bad when it comes to projects at work. I thing it's more so just boredom.

Yes I do. That sounds exactly like me, I"ll have weeks or months to do a project and I won't bother starting it because I feel I have so much time. Then the last few days come by and I'm scrambling to get it done. Then I'll make a promise to myself to start earlier the next time I have a big project, but it happens again and again.

I think it'd be interesting if got a "Do you think ADHD is real?" thread going in the social issues area. A lot of people stand firmly behind it while others claim it's a cop out for druggies.

Right after you posted that in your first post I looked at that. I fit all the symptoms....

A select few of my friends have high IQs but bad cases of ADHD which inhibits them from being as successful as they'd like to or are capable of being. They can still do decent in their studies / work and maintain a somewhat structured lifestyle but ultimately are under-achievers.

I'm a master procrastinator. I put off putting things off.

But seriously I thrive on the pressure of a looming deadline. If I don't feel that I might not get it done on time, the quality of my work is much lower. I've been known to write 25 page research papers overnight. :D

If I have to do a school project on my computer and I am connected to the internet, that can be a huge problem. I will knock out a page or two and then go online to look something up. An hour later, I am responding to a thread about procrastination...

I work from home and should really disconnect my internet. I tend to waste so much time that I end up working until 9-10PM to get a full days worth of work done. Wouldn't be a big deal if I wasn't on tight deadlines :/

Oh yeah. I've only fired up Firefox to get out of some studying for another three minutes or so :D

(Although I bet it becomes more like 20)

I do, but it's mainly out of boredom, and the fact that I do better when I know I have a deadline. I focus better that way.

I'm reading a book for a summer assignment and I only finished chapter 2 (Out of 6, they're big chapters), and wasn't paying that much attention to it. I know I'll have to re-read it two days before school starts and read it all in one sitting overnight or something.
