Love 3G & WiFi

I am glad I purchase 3G and WiFi. I went away during the 4th of July weekend, and refused to pay $11 daily for WiFi. I did not exceed my 2G data plan and I was too happy to have 3G.

Get it, you will not be sorry.

I went with the 3g-version and found a splendid provider that gives me pretty much unlimited data up to their "fair usage" policy(about 20Gb) and then they limit me to 200kbps until the next month. 199 SEK/month (about 29$ atm)

There were cheaper packages and/or providers but they all just had 1-5GB of data and i wanted to be on the safe side.

No regrets at all with the iPad, if i want to change provider i can do that whenever i want to.

3G... Bought because all the WiFi were out of stock but glad I did now.

iPhone and iPad are on seperate operators so if the signal is bad on one, it'll work on the other.

Keep in mind that even though you can tether your phone to the WiFi iPad, the 3G version is much more seamless, and heavy tethering will easily suck out the phone battery much faster than you want to. And you get GPS with the 3G iPad as an added value. I think I could cope much better with a 3G iPad + data-less dumbphone compared to iPhone + WiFi only iPad.

I bought the 3G one thinking that I didn't want to drain so much battery on both devices. By now I'm not regretting, it has been handful several times and the battery lasts hours and hours.
Only one problem: having to pay twice. Luckily I have a cheap pay-per-MB plan on my phone and a 500 MB one on my iPad, and I have to pay little for them.

I have the 3G model and I don't regret it all. I like being connected everywhere I go. If there had been a contract required, I probably would have gone wifi only.
