I never had a doubt...it was black/slate all the way. I didn't really like the white one. But some people love it (girls) lol.. JK. It's all a matter of taste. Black looks great on the 5, but I've read a lot of people saying that they love the white. I'm sure you'll love it when it gets in ur hand.

I've been telling a lot of the ladies that lately... And when they get the black one in their hand they REALLY like it, lol!!

Seriously, though, no regret in my iPhone color choice.

Yesterday I was having doubts about ordering black again but upon further review I'm happy about my choice. :D

Had a black 3G, 3GS, 4, and 4S. I ordered the 4S in black out of habit but regretted it once I saw my co-workers white 4S. This year I ordered the white 5!

Nope, Had black iPhone 3G for 2 years and 4 for 2+ years. I wanted a change so I got the white one. I have a white iPad 3 and I like the look of it. Got tired of the black look so having a white iPhone should be a nice change for once.

I got/wanted the white one.

Matches my white iPad, iPod, Volkswagen, ect....

The black, while nice, hides the look to me a bit. I mean, most smartphones are black. The color just blends the detail of the phone. The white and silver is bright and pronounced. "I am iPhone!"

Lol

Was undecided the evening before preordering it :D

Eventually went black as the slate look looks beautiful IMO, but white is nice too. Bit bored of the silver look though.
If they were both silver, I'd have gone for white in a heartbeat.

I have a black 4 and have been jealous of the white since it came out. I have a white new iPad that I love so I went ahead and got the white 5. I really like the look of the black but I think I'd be jealous of the white again.

When I do finally get the iPhone 5, the Black/Slate was my first choice before it was even announced thanks to the leaks.

I got the white, and don't regret it. It just looks the best to me. If I want the black later, maybe someone will trade. Plus, I'm tired of having black iphone after black iphone!

i had a white 4s but now with the all black design it just looked to good to take the white one again. black one and i don't regret it yet

I never considered a white iphone before, but this time around it wouldn't have been the worst thing in the world if I was given a white i5. I ordered black again, but ordered a white one for my fiance. Still think the white is more for females.

almost went with white and was about to checkout when i thought that black was the safer choice... luckily was able to change in time to still make it in the first batch of orders, another five minutes would have cost me 2 weeks...

I ore-ordered a white 64GB and regret it. I'd love to change to black, but it's impossible to get through to Apple.

Any advice on easiest way to change?

Unless you want to lose your shipping slot you can't change until you get the phone. Then you can return it at the apple store and change color/capacity/etc.

I am second guessing my choice a bit. I've been using white iPhones and iPads for a while now. I like the white 5 very much, but the more uniform looking black looks really striking. I figured I'd change things ups bit and go black this time. But now I'm concerned over the possibility of the black anodize getting scratched.

I got the white again. The black is too black. It's like those black cars with black rims. Not to mention the white looks best against my skin tone.

This pic right here sold me on the white this time around.

It's so clean looking. The letter boxing issue should only be temporary while developers update their apps.

That’s me right there. Black suit, black overcoat, black sunglasses, black car, black tint, black rims, black beard, black shoes, black socks, black iPhone, black watch dial, black watch bracelet, black car interior, black MacBook Pro cover, black iPhone cover (no longer used), ya I could go on.

That's a good point. I wonder if the black scratches if it shows up silver? I'm guessing the dark color is just a coating. I suppose there is no way to know how commin of a issue that is until people are using them more frequently.

Honestly... a little. I got the white+silver but WOULD have gone with the black if it looked like Apple's renderings. I like it when it looks completely blacked out but a lot of hands-on pictures make it look completely grey and I don't think the contrast looks good. Many say it's just the flash hitting it right, that it is truly pretty dark... but I don't know.
