Because of this thread I opened my App and found a $6.94 Apple gift card in there from last year so Passbook is awesome!

That said, no I don't use it.

Passbook is 90% airline app support and 1% actual support I can get use of.
The 9% is stores in other countries, stores not in my region or other useless stuff.

But good to know I'll save on bringing that airplane stuff to the airport, except I prefer paper tickets, since they make better travel souvenirs than screenshots of text.
And the time saved on the rare occasion of a flight...
Seriously, I'm bewildered it takes stores this long.

Everyone hates bulky cards of stores!

The reason is they need new scanners, yes I get that, but come on guys.
Get some perspective, you can curb sales with offering loyal customers less wallet nag.

Germany is always years behind in these sorts of things...
Damn, we don't even have a Starbucks app at the moments, they have been rewriting it for many months now!
The old one is still on my iPhone, but it's useless, because it never could do much besides storing your favorite drink and finding the nearest store.
No virtual cards, no balance checking, etc...

Come Oct 18th, the Passbook app is going to become a whole lot more useful... And used.

It's actually got a lot of potential but is handicapped by businesses slow or reluctant to implement it. That surprises me as they have something to gain from it by their customers being 'reminded' to call in for a coffee or, for many sports grounds here in Australia, show that you want to go green and paperless.

Having credit and debit cards in it will be all the rage as I think Apple are going to push Apple Pay very agressively to businesses/banks. Unfortunately, they can't do the same with Passbook outside of that.

Never. I don't drink Starbucks and don't really go to Wallgreees.

Is be useful for flying but typically I travel with the whole fam so kinda pointless to have mixed tickets paper and electronic.

Just got tickets for a football game next weekend and they were delivered to me so that I could put them in my Passbook.

Yep, Starbucks is my only card in my Passbook. Use it almost every day since my physical card started getting worn out. One less card to carry!

Yep, I already shopped at Walgreens and Speedway, both of which have Passbook support that put up their card when I'm near their stores. Works great. Wish it would get more support.

Not every day but I use it when it's available. I wish more places implemented it.
I use it for: Boarding pass, loyalty cards (Sephora, Duane Reade, REI, starbucks), movie tickets, baseball tickets, etc.

I put our Airline boarding passes on my families iPhones (3 of us) because we didnt have access to a printer. We get to the airport and they ended up (without being asked) printing out boarding tickets. It was nice using my train ticket on Amtrak though. Its kind of gimmicky if you dont travel or go to a ton of movies imo.

Mainly I've used it for concert tickets. But even then, when you get to the gate, they print out a hardcopy ticket for you. Or at one venue, they manually wrote up a ticket for us. Sigh...

I use it for Dunkin Donuts, Starbucks, Fandango, Wallgeens and extensively for boarding passes. Using it for bording passes alone makes it invaluable.

Rewards cards that I used to carry in my wallet (Kroger...) my Hyatt Passport number, and a lot of concert tickets. Did a baseball game once with Passbook. Soon to add my personal CC's and corporate AMEX.
Oh, and I'll be using it for Amtrak next week.

I use mine every time I go to Starbucks, the movies or use a Living Social voucher. It's great to just pull my phone out and have the notification waiting from me on my lockscreen. I would use it for Target's Cartwheel app all the time too, but their passbook card doesn't allow you to set a favorite location so I never get a notification when I need it :(

I read some articles about Passbook and how people use it or not. Most of them think Passbook is worthless. I have used Passbook few times for Walgreen that is it. Then I realized I have some gift cards lying around and decided to try them on the Passbook just for fun.
My question is do you still use Passbook or not? What kind of app that you use for Passbook? :apple:

Thank you

I use it with Fandango a lot.
