I think a better question would be "Have you ever used Passbook?"

Technically I did when it first launched (or maybe it was during beta) and there was this website that you could use to make Passbook items so that you could test it. I've never used it IRL and I suspect many others haven't either. That will change with ApplePay. But does calling it Passbook make much sense now that you use it like a wallet? IDK.

I put our Airline boarding passes on my families iPhones (3 of us) because we didnt have access to a printer. We get to the airport and they ended up (without being asked) printing out boarding tickets. It was nice using my train ticket on Amtrak though. Its kind of gimmicky if you dont travel or go to a ton of movies imo.

This happens every time I check a bag! I show them my boarding pass on my phone, but when I check my bag, they print a boarding pass and hand it to me.

Anyway, I use it almost daily for Starbucks, but I wish it could be utilized more. You can just give your phone number for most loyalty cards.

I use it all the time when travelling in Europe. Airlines, Eurostar, Airbnb, Bookings.com, even my Oyster's balance. It's a convenient place to easily find itinerary details.

I would say it has been somewhat useful for me and that usage will increase significantly once :apple:Pay gets going.

Right now, I currently use it for LivingSocial, Groupon & Starbucks

Whenever I've tried to use passbook, mainly for airline boarding passes, staff almost always print me a paper one defeating the purpose of it.

wife and I used it for our boarding passes to our honeymoon. I also use it when we go to the movies. then the guy scanning prints the ticket and gives me the ticket.....?

Use it for Starbucks, Costa, Subway, and apple pay when it launches in the UK. Also I have used it when getting comic con tickets as they store on there from the event brite app

I still use Passbook and wish it was more capable. I would like to somehow replicate the rest of the cards in my wallet. I see with iOS9 they are getting closer but I think we are still a little ways off.

I'd use it far more here in the UK if the scanners in a lot of stores for loyalty cards were upgraded (Tesco & waitrose for example), then I could leave them all at home.. At the moment it's just cine world and the odd trip to Costa.

I use it with Dunkin Donuts and Fandango.

I'll only use it because using those two apps offer benefits. With Dunkin Donuts after you use it to purchase a few coffees you get a free one. So if I'm going there anyway it only makes sense to use it. With Fandango I buy tickets online and bypass that initial line at the movie theater.

Other places that offer it I don't frequent enough to warrant using it. OR don't offer any benefit to using it.

Overall I like it. Its more convenient then digging through the actual app and cranking up the brightness. 7-11 app for example, doesn't offer Passbook and I often forget to use it or I forget to turn up the brightness and I end up holding up the line.

Apple Pay, Starbucks, and my AAA card. Of those three, only Starbucks sees much use, and even then half the time I forget and just open their app to use the card from there. I haven't found anything else I use regularly to put in there. Wish it could hold all my car & health insurance cards--that'd make it closer to an actual digital wallet for me.

I would add, using it for cinema tickets at Cineworld here in the UK means you bypass a usually long queue to print out your pre booked tickets. Even the husband, who scoffs at these things usually, saw how useful it was and has started using the QR code on his android phone. Its a no-brainer for me!

I think Passbook/Wallet, like NFC payments, is still ahead of its time. I use it frequently for airline boarding passes, movie tickets, and a few store cards. It should become more prominent as NFC payment/loyalty/coupons become mainstream.
