Texting is too slow with one hand.

I'm 6'4" with huge hands and I've been texting two-handed in portrait and landscape with my iPhones. Needless to say, I'm grateful for the 6 Plus!

that may have been true in the past and even up to ios5 and iOS 6 but iOS 7 autocorrect and even mac osx now is terrible. Something went wrong.

I disagree. It is fine for me. iOS 8 should fix any issues you are having with iOS 7.

I text two handed. I'm way better at it. Holding the phone straight in one hand with that smaller keyboard? Typo city for this young man.

fyi hand size is related to wrist size not height

I do almost everything one-handed, except for a couple of landscape mode games. Typing speed is only marginally slower for me. Two-handed typing makes me feel like a little squirrel trying to crack a nut.

I type faster with one hand. When I try typing with my non-dominant hand, I spend a lot more time hunting for the correct letter, so two handed texting just slows me down.

Quite honestly it depends on if I'm standing or sitting. I tend to do a lot of things one-handed while standing or walking that I do two-handed while sitting or lying down. I do want a phone that I can at least hold in one hand comfortably to make calls and scroll through Safari. If it doesn't fit that, then it's not a phone

I think since this is a threat purely about texting, being able to text one handed is important to me since if I'm out and about moving, or maybe carrying a sixpack home or a bag of groceries, being able to text using one hand is important. That being said, if I'm at home on the couch or even just want to be able to text faster when I'm out and I can stop and still have two hands free, I prefer it.

I don't think the notion of "1 handed phone use" is a myth. But I think that even without the "reachability" feature, Apple has done away with needing to reach up to the top corners of applications (at least the default ones) in most scenarios, although certainly not all.

Poll needs more options. I use one hand most of the time. I turn my phone sideways and use two hands when I need to type out something long. For simple, one sentence texts, almost always one hand.
