It bothers me to no end when people type in text speak. So obviously, I type in full sentences even when texting and over IM. Sometimes I forget capitalization, but I only use abbreviations like omg and lol. That's about it. Otherwise, I type in full sentences

My posts on here are like I would type in IM if I did it. I sometimes forget punctuation but that is about it. Spelling is as good as I can get it with OSX's built in spell checker. Although I might use stuff like PB, MBP, PM, TiBook and MB more.

But I would rather call someone than send them a text message. If I had a cell phone I would rather have a data plan with tethering than unlimited text messaging. Then I could use email:D.

EDIT: one thing I will not use is iTouch for iPod Touch. That bothers me a lot.

EDIT 2: If someone sent me a message like some do in a text message I ask "Could you send me that again in english? I cannot understand whatever language you are typing in."

I always write proper, I do. I don't see the point of using such abbreviations, especially in emails and on Forums like MacRumors where there isn't a prohibitive limit on the number of characters you can use. If I'm in a situation where there are limits, I'll always rephrase what I'm saying rather than use 'text speak'.

If you can't be bothered to take the time to write properly, don't be surprised if people can't be bothered to take the time to try and decode what you're trying to say.

I'd send multiple messages. the signature on here has some issues where I have trouble but that is the only place.

I type like everything counts for a grade in school.

Or does it? I'm home schooled so it might. If mom knows I'm here it probably does.

Yes, and no. When I am typing to either a client or person who I know through business contacts, I type in a way that makes me look as mature and professional as possible. I've been doing this since roughly age 11 -not to say I had a business back then. I'm also 16 years old.

When I talk to people that I know personally, I usually instinctively stop writing in this manner and begin to cut words, spell in shortcuts, and use acronyms.

I try to type full sentences.

If I'm not in the mood or am bored or something, then I'll occasionally be like "lol" or "cool" or "sweet"...you know, one word answers.
