I buy my devices outright and upgrade every 1-2 years. I either pay monthly or 2 years upfront for AppleCare+.
So since you have AppleCare + you just do express replacement for literally any hardware issue you get on your iPhones and Apple Watch?

I rarely drop my iPhone a lot so I never get AppleCare.

No I don’t even do that because I don’t want my credit card charged at all for the full amount, and I don’t have the time to be waiting for a device to be shipped out. I rather have it the same day. That’s why when I need to visit a Genius Bar I go on that same day with a reservation, but I have to cancel my other plans.

The AppleCare+ has saved me numerous times in the past with my devices having malfunctions past the 1 year warranty period.

Who matches their iPhone cases with their Apple Watch bands and/or wallpapers?

No, I have AppleCare.
I might sound silly, but for me, the case isn't even really about protecting the phone. For any phone I own I usually have a collection of several cases that I swap between depending on my mood. It's a way to customize the phone and make it look and feel different. To me, a new case can make a phone feel like a brand new device which can actually help me scratch that "new toy" itch when I know that I really don't need to upgrade.

Also, I don't really like the way current iPhones feel "naked". Many cases make it feel much better in the hand, in my opinion. I definitely favour thin, sleek, "minimalist" cases though, as I dislike adding too much extra bulk/thickness.

Agreeable I did also had a little chat with the Apple Store specialists when I went there again for my birthday 🎂 and got a new strap. Was contemplating getting AppleCare in the long run as I spent the most on this 15 pro over all other iPhones I had.

They did say that it’s like a unit swap and since I’m just 20 minutes from an Apple Store and go there every Sunday to every few weeks if my Apple Watch or iPhone gets into any hardware issue I troubleshoot to rule it off first, and if it seems like it needs to get checked out I book myself a Genius Bar appt. Sometimes I do walk in if I just have questions/to clarify about support topics lol on some visits...

You know what, I think I can relate to your first paragraph. That might be the reason why I was able to stick with the iPhone 8 for several years as I had at least 5 cases I went through. Then I had a 13 Pro Max for a couple years and only went through one case. Now without a case I've quickly swapped from 15 to 16 even though they're basically the same phone.

I finally decided not to go with a case after owning many phones including Android phones.

It just adds more significant weight in my pocket and plus, I never have dropped my phone, never even once.

Even when I was rocking cases, I still would very gently put my phone down on my desk.

But as they say, there's a first time for everything including accidents and drops but I will be extremely careful.

My pants feel so MUCH lighter without a case.

I was like that when I was buying cases. I would purchase several cases for each phone and change them depending on my mood or whatever outfit I was wearing that day. Cases have now started looking boring and getting heavier to me, so I have resorted to solid color skins, which do not add any weight to my phone and curbs that new iPhone itch to upgrade, as I feel like I have a new device with a new skin and a new wallpaper.

I've never worried about extra weight with a case vs. no case. But they do add significant size/bulk to the phone. Worth it IMHO for the protection and better grip, especially with a soft silicone case.

Whenever I get a new iPhone it doesn't leave the store without a tempered glass screen protector and a case. I'm currently sporting a BULL clear case with MagSafe - that's all they had at the Verizon store where they upgraded me. I might visit my local Apple Store this week and see what's available for my 16 Pro Max.

My skins are holding up fairly well, except I get bored of them pretty quickly and impatiently want to change them out. I currently have purple on and will change to Rose Gold, which looks more like Gold, on June 1st and hold onto that until August 1st when I’ll switch to Cherry Red. No matter what, I will not go without a tempered glass screen protector under no circumstances.
