I always use a case. I love the feel of a naked iPhone, but one accidental drop can be an expensive mistake. A good case helps prevent unnecessary scratches and everyday wear.

Spoke to someone today with a Cosmic Orange 17 Pro just like mine. They didn’t use a case, though, and all the edges are completely scuffed to the bare aluminium, with the colour worn off along with dents up the sides.

So glad I use a case!

Isn't the point of the cosmic orange to show off the orange though?

A friend of mine always gets AppleCare+, specifically because he sometimes drops his phone and breaks the screen. He absolutely refuses to use a case, but I just don't understand it. I have occasionally dropped my phone, but since I started buying iPhones in 2008, I have never broken an iPhone screen in all that time because I use a case.

Same. I've been using iPhones since 2009, and have never broken a screen or had a single chip because I always use a glass protector and a case. Cracked many glass protectors after drops, cracked many cases too, but the phones were always fine. My iPhone 7 Plus served me 8 years and still looks almost brand new. If the WiFi wasn't dying and most apps were refusing to open because of the lack of iOS support, I'd still be using it.

Just traded in my 15MP for a 17MP

No case on either one, but I use a Pop Socket, which helps with hold the iPhone.

I buy from Apple Store and they mostly only ask if it’s working or severally damaged, scratches are ok for trade in, which my 15 has, as I have dropped it….

Maybe if I was heading out to a concert or baseball game I’d consider putting on case, other than that, a case is not needed

I don’t but I have the Air. I would use a case with the 17/pro for sure. I didn’t use a case with my old 12PM because it was steel.

Aluminum is too soft without a case.

EDIT: the silver 17 pro is probably the best choice. Natural aluminum color if it chips won’t be that visible.

I have a few more chips from dropping my phone a few weeks ago, but I still will not use a case except a Süti phoneback sometimes when I leave the house. In the past, I’ve cracked screens with screen protectors and even cracked the back with a case on and I still prefer caseless. Just the feel of 0% bulkiness is worth it to me.

Still using my blue Torras Q3 Air for my 17 pro and love it. It fits perfectly, the ring on the back is great to lean my phone on and the case's color fits the blue 17 Pro perfectly.

The cow print skin I had lasted a few months…probably would’ve lasted longer if I didn’t get bored of it I was using a pink/white striped MagSafe case with a popsocket for a while. I decided to treat myself to a new case by Loopy. I really like the idea of the loop so much more than using a pop socket. The only downfall is no MagSafe charging so I’ve been plugging in at night to charge. Took some getting used to but I really like this style case!
