Do you use your iPhone as an alarm clock?

yes I have both Alarm Clock Pro (the very popular one) and the default one yet I use my default one every time instead of the paid app.

My biggest gripe with the iphone/alarm clock is that you cant switch the phone off completely (to save battery life over night) and then have the alarm wake you and the phone in the morning. Nokia have managed this for the past 15 years in their most basic of handsets which i miss, otherwise the iphone is ace!

Yup! I use "Alarm Clock Pro" instead of the default app. The default alarm doesn't play through the bluetooth connection, and since I nap on the train while listening to podcasts (via bluetooth headphones), I need that feature!!!

On a side note, I purchased this iPhone stand to use while in "Alarm Clock" mode... It works out great!

I just got an iPhone dock for bedside. I would like to set the alarm and have the clock display automatically in the most dimmed setting, maybe even show the time in a shade close to black, so it won't wake me up. Also would like the screen to lighten up before sounding alarm in the morning.

Any suggestions?

If you put the phone in airplane mode it uses hardly any battery (1-2% I've found over the last 3 years) and is virtually the same as turning it off :)

I normally charge my iPhone up at night, and then I'll throw it on airplane mode beside my bed. After about 8-9 hours on airplane mode, I'm always still at 100%.

Yeh the default app lol
Not every night cos you need to give the phone some rest by turning it off for a while

ive used the stock app since i got my iphone, but i wish there was an app that worked on a 8 day week instead of 4 days so that i could program it for my shift patern!

2 getting up at 5:30am
2 geting up at 5:30pm
4 not getting up at all :D

The stock app is what wakes me up every single day.

I use the default alarm clock. It's very effective
since the default 'Xylophone' ringtone annoys the hell out of me every morning! Which indeed, forces me to wake up :D
