Do you use your iPhone as an alarm clock?

Wouldn't have it any other way. Marimba pisses me off like no other so it wakes me up pretty quickly.

Reading your comment made me, literally, laugh out loud. I know all about aggravating sounds.

I happen to be a masochist, so I like the "alarm" sound. It instills fear and panic within me. :D

Stock iOS clock with the Digital sound as my alarm. Nothing more obnoxious and sends chills everytime i hear it (especially on someone elses phone during the day).

Yes, I use the default alarm Monday thru Friday for work.

When I'm on vacation, I use the alarm clock app. Especially if there is no clock in the room. I typically don't use it as an alarm, but only to look at what time it is if I wake up in the middle of the night.

I use an iHome A5 ( I think that's the model) iPhone compatible alarm clock at home. It has multiple alarms so that I can set up different wake up times for the work week verse weekend. Works pretty well without the iPhone being docked. When the iPhone is docked then you can use the app they make (couple of posters mentioned it already) but I find that it too much of a hassle. When I am on the road, which is too much these days, I used Alarm Clock Pro or the stock clock app. My wife uses Sleep Cycle every night as well.

Indeed...I started using some songs as my ringtone, and it turned out to be more soothing than disturbing so I'd sleep for another 10 minutes.

Marimba never fails to make me want to throw my phone across the room

I prefer something that wakes me up gently.
I currently use Progressive Alarm, but I'm going to try Sleep Cycle.

I use the default Clock App religiously!!

How do you deal with the brightness? I'd like to replace my regular clock with the the standard dock, and just use the iPhone while it charges overnight...

I don't keep the phone lit all night the alarm still works when it goes asleep. I use the alarm clock religiously not meaning I keep the screen lit.

I actually did this a long time ago, but I completely forgot how to do it. And I also didn't know this worked for alarm clock sounds. It's awesome. Now I no longer have to wake up to a bomb threat noise. :)

If you don't mind the commercial message... You might want to try Ringtones Uncensored (we have FREE versions) so you can create a ringtone that TALKS! "Hey Joe, it's time to wake up!" in 40 voices and you can use 200 sound FX to get your attention!

I live by the iPhone clock app. I use the alarm to wake up in the morning. I use the timer for naps and cooking, and the stopwatch for miscellaneous activities. I can say without a doubt it is not a day that goes by that I don't use the clock app.

The things that's a bit annoying though, is if you set your alarm but forget to turn the volume up. You're pretty much screwed as you most likely wouldn't wake up. I wish there was a feature that you could set the volume at which you want the alarm to go off at. That would fix the whole problem.

I created a custom ringtone that I labeled Vibrate, I simply recorded 30 seconds of blank audio. This ringtone is used for my stock iPhone alarm app. I put my phone into Airplane mode, set my wake up time, plug the phone into my Kensington Night Stand Charger, fire up the app Flip Clock. Sounds like a lot but it only takes a few seconds to set.

That way when I wake up very early my wife generally doesn't hear the iPhone vibrating but it wakes me up.
