It IS built to be used caseless. You just choose to put a case on it ;)

that's the great thing about it. if someone needs the bulk of a case to use it, they can do that. if someone doesn't need extra protection, they can have that too - no need to saddle people with giant swaths of rubber and plastic if they don't need it.

I would like the look to remain the same (Or close to the same) as the iPhone 4. At first I really didn't like the look of it, but I have really grown to like it. Especially the flat back.

The 3GS was like holding a bar of soap
I much prefer the 4

Looking forward to see what comes up

Not sure if it's the curves, the plastic, or a combination of the two, but the 3G/3Gs feels like a toy compared to the 4. As long as Apple continues in that direction I think I'll be OK with whatever tweaks they make to the basic design.

I really hope they keep the same physical dimensions as the iPhone 4. I wonder what the reaction from buyers of the Verizon iPhone 4 would be if Apple released a drastically different looking design.

similar to iPhone 4

I really like the actual look and feel of the iPhone 4... the only thing I'm not 100% convinced is the back glass ...it breaks really easy in accidentals drops. Maybe another glass like back... but more resistant.

Don't really care since I will be using my iPhone 4 for a while anyway. Hoping for some sort of change on model after the next one, or at least a good reason to upgrade at that time.

I trust the design team as far as the shape of the next iPhone goes. As long as it has 4G capabilities, I'll be upgrading. If not, I'll stick with my iP4 and ride it out another cycle.

Compared to the curvature of the 3G/S, the 4 is not very ergonomically pleasing to hold. IMO.

I agree, but I do see what people are saying about the 3G/S rocking back and forth when used on a flat surface. I love how comfortable the 3GS is to hold but the iPhone 4 does look pretty sleek. I think the best compromise is the 2G, with a flat back but curved sides.

I think the white iphone4 is the best looking phone ever made. I would certainly love to get the 5 if it were going to look very similar and be out in a reasonable amount of time, but given that they haven't said anything about it, I don't think I'll be able to wait. So I'm kinda hoping its not the same design as the 4. :p

Lots of people would want it to look just like the iPhone 4 so that they feel the iPhone 5 will be a "minor" upgrade, and will feel better about their phone.

or some people just like the design a lot. i dont have an iphone 4 but like the design as it is, so i hope apple doesn't completely get rid of it

all i want is the A5 and for my carrier to let me upgrade before my dang 3 years are up! being stuck on a 3g for over 2 years is getting tougher and tougher, with an increasing number of apps not even being supported, so i'm not making the mistake of getting "last years tech" again!

as for the aesthetic, they can keep the same look or change it up - i'll be fine either way... well, as long as they don't have the ipod nano team working on it. they seem to have a knack for weird design decisions.

Apple sues Apple for copying the 4 when releasing the 5.

Pros:
1) More money (or not)
2) Honors Antennagate by not changing shape.
3) Steve's Ego grows larger

Cons:
1) None, it's Apple, they're perfect :)

I don't care what they call it as long as it works. If it's called the 5, then I believe the phone to have will be the 6 (or whatever they name it).

Why the one that follows? Simple really, it will give them time to get better at curved glass if that's what they cover the display with.

It will give them time to work out any other bugs.

It will simply be a better phone. iPhone 6, that sounds good to me. It's the one to wait for.

Plus just think of the money you will save. I'm tired of paying to be an Apple tester.
