My wife watches movies/TV shows all the time on her iPhone 7 when she's working out at the gym. I on the other hand, only watch movies on my iPad Mini or TV.

All the time. Only on the Plus version of the iphones, though. When you consider letterboxing, it's almost as big as an iPad Mini display

Only when I don't plan to. Such as being on a train for a longer length of time than normal where I don't have my iPad

Not movies on my 6S, but I have watched stuff like The Walking Dead at work.
I prefer to just have a phone when I go to work rather then risk taking my tablet.
But it also highlights why a bigger screen phone is useful, that I don't have 🙁

I have plenty of times. I usually watch some shows half hour but I have watched movies on my phone. It's not my preferred way but when I need to pass the time in places where I have nothing but my phone I sure do! "Screen is too small" has never been an issue for me. It's an excellent screen to watch anything imo

Yep, I've watched 100s of TV episodes and many movies on my iPhone 6S Plus. I travel 4 hours a day and rarely get the TV in the evening to watch content.

It works well for me as the its right aspect ratio for most content, not too small and portable enough to hold it for long periods of time with minimal fatigue. I can't do that with my iPad Mini. I find the viewable part of the video on the PLus not that much smaller than the iPad Mini due to its 4:3 ratio requiring cropped bars top and bottom.

I've been watching tv and movies since the iPod video. Admittedly now I only use my phone when I don't have my iPad Pro around, but the 7+ is perfectly adequate to watch a tv show or something, I've done long drives where I realized I had forgotten my tablet and laptop, but my phone was able to work perfectly.

When my iPhone is the only device around, yes. When it is not the only device around, no.

But that's just me.

I voted No, because I can't be bothered holding or balancing the thing for the duration of a movie.
I'd vote the same for any size of iPad.

To those saying the screen is too small, I'm currently watching a 42" TV from ~2.7metres away.
I've just held up my iPhone 6s at ~2 thirds arms length and it's the same apparent size.

I guess it's time I upgraded to a normal size TV ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

yes, i am on a 1h 20 mins commute for work every day (both ways) and i dont want to carry my iPad all the time. Thats one of the reason i got the 7 Plus

My wife watches movies and tv shows on her 6s plus all the time. I would rather watch it on the iPad.

When I'm lazy to turn the Apple TV on and wait for Airplay to actually work and not mirror the iPhone, I do.

I actually prefer to watch movies on my iPhone 7 Plus. I was even comfortable watching shows on my SE.

I have a gorgeous big screen top of the line Samsung big screen tv but I only watch it for family movie night or some rare tv shows with the family. I'm prone to migraines and can't handle routine viewing on the big screen. It can give me vertigo, too.

Oddly enough I do great in VR, which makes everyone else in the family sick. Go figure.

For those who watch movies on their phone how/where do you get the movies from? iTunes? I have alot of movies on my computer but most of them aren't in the mp4 format need to play on the iPhone and I dont have the time/energy to convert them.
