Small screen, crap sound and you like that? Read something instead. Films aren’t mean for a phone.
Screen might be on the smaller side, the sound is just fine. When it's catching up on some TV show or some movie it does the trick just fine in circumstances like that. We aren't talking about being in the front row of some extravagant live performance.

I consume a lot of media on my Max. I do watch shows and movies, especially when I am away from home. I remote connect to my iMac iTunes and stream away. Works great.
 
Watch Movies on my plus and now Max. Every week pretty much. I only do it on commutes and downtime between jobs and travel. I can't read on an airplane or read books or comics on the plus or max as I find it a bit small, but watching movies is not a problem for me. Of course if it's a movie that should be seen in the cinema, then I'll do that, but I mostly watch old movies as new movies pretty much suck. I'm so sick and tired of superhero rubbish... I digress, but I used the Max for the first time yesterday to watch a movie between jobs and it was great. Loving the bigger screen.
