Dock randomly flashing

Ever since iPadOS 16.1 (and persisting now in 17 RC), while using Stage Manager the dock will occasionally flash. It looks more or less like if you used the “killall Dock” command on MacOS to relaunch it. Has anyone else experienced this or knows of any fix?
 
Well, I’m on 17.5 on a new iPad Pro (m4) and still experiencing this. I haven’t restored from backup, so it can’t be that.

Has no one seriously run into this?
 
In case someone else runs into this issue and is interested in a fix: after some trial and error, it appears that disabling “Show App Library in Dock” fixes the issue *touch wood*
