DODOcase iPhone5 Wallet

I really like mine, I think it covers the bezel and once worn in will cover even more:

Wow that looks really nice. I hope as it loosens up a little the phone will go down a bit. Can't wait for mine to come in, ordered on the 26th.

I received my Dodocase iPhone 5 wallet case today. It meets my expectations for good looks and handmade high quality feel. I think it is somewhat unique and would get noticed by people. I thought it might be a little too thick based in the photos on their website, but it is slim and would carry nicely in my front pant pocket. On the minor negative side, I agree with the other individual who noted that it does not completely cover the phone. I think it would be better if it was a little bit deeper and completely covered my phone. However, I am not worried that it does not provide the protection that I want for my phone. However, and I will probably try to return it for this issue, it does not hold the phone adequately in my opinion. Holding the case on about a 45 degree downward angle causes the phone to just slide out of the case. I am thinking that this will eventually result in an accidental drop of the phone without protection.

I am bummed, because I really don't have a second favorite sleeve case and I really wanted this case to be just right. Back to searching the forum for another unique, great looking sleeve case.

I should be getting mine next week and don't know how I really feel about it on fitting all the way in the sleeve. I see your point that it doesn't protect it as well, but I guess I wasn't really thinking of the protection part since I'd be using my phone naked anyway (when it was out of the sleeve) and then there's zero protection. I also think it's easier to access if it sits out a little. On the flip side, I see your point about it's propensity to slide out...that's not good. Also, in the photo from their website, it does not stick out at all.

I think I'll keep mine..the feel of the case is great and I agree with the above comments. I'm planning to use mine naked as well and the case looks and feels extremely well made although I think any sleeve will have similar looseness once you tilt the case. Let's put this way, it's extremely unique.

Might bite the bullet and have this case mostly for looks :D

Did any of you guys get the BOOKback with the wallet? I ordered one and am hoping it keeps it a little more snug in the sleeve.

I did - it might have a bit more traction, but won't be much tighter... The BOOKback is pretty thin.
 
Same as above, the book back feels and looks nice but it doesn't make the phone much thicker.
Although the added grip may cause the phone to stick in there more.
You could add an elastic band around the sleeve.

Yes, I'm 8 (you caught me), but not retarded... And even at 8, my "be be" grammar is better than yours.

Obviously the person I was directing my post towards heard me loud and clear. I am a DODOcase customer anxiously awaiting my order so I am curious to see others get theirs, obviously.

Several people who have received their cases already have described them as a little loose. I'm also hopeful I can pair this DODOcase with a very slim case like a Switcheasy Nude or PowerSupport AirJacket or even a basic Desmay Slight-style case from eBay. Has anyone tried that combo?
 
I canceled my order today after seeing a friends. Phone will slip out fairly easy. Would be my luck I pick it up in a hurry and the phone comes flying out. Purchased a HardGraft case instead.
 
Are the owners of this sleeve still impressed or would you recommend something else?

I preordered the Mujjo wallet case for my iPhone 5 instead of the DODO because I think it's much better looking, and I like that it has a strap to hold the phone and cards/money in the case. They're also including a free fisheye lens with every preorder, so that's awesome.

FYI I heard from DODOcase that they are altering the wallet to be tighter... All wallets sent out from this point should be good. This is a relief-

Hoping this it true because I love the design of this sleeve yet the only thing stopping me is how loose the phone is inside it.
